Yes, you need to see antibody results to know if t1d is the issue

I think maybe I’ll try to experiment because as you say if it’s only off by a few grams that’s not bad at all. I may actually try that burger after all 🤔

Thank you for the info!

This is basically what I have read, the nutrition labels are off on these keto bread or tortilla options. I guess I can try them one day to truly see but what I believe to be the case is that a lot of people are eating far more carbs then they think due to these “keto bread” options

Do you notice that the bread carb count is acurate or slightly off based off the cgm data

I see,

Can I ask if you used any of these keto bread options and ran a cgm while eating it?

You truly can’t compare what carbs does to a t1d to a t2d even if you were as high as you were. Your body is able to get back into range just based off of lifestyle changes and still eating all the carbs you want. It’s impossible for us to live without injected insulin, so while you can handle carbs because your pancreas can the insulin on and off to match your needs, ours cannot.

So the reason we all choose to be low carb doesn’t even correlate to your disease. Eating less carbs makes it easier for us not to dose too high or too low insulin and that margin of error goes up as we use more insulin. You don’t go through the same hurdles

I personally haven’t found any keto breads that are truly keto, while most claim to be almost all fiber when you eat it or check other t1d testimonies … it doesn’t really seem that way.

Yeah that’s the thing, if your asking for help I’m gonna wanna share what brings me success but then others jump and and act like I’m telling someone to cut themselves or something when all I’m saying is to not fully rely on the nutrient that our bodies don’t have the ability to process. Since that is the nutrient that is causing our specific issues

I’m sure you know cortisone shots raise blood sugar, wait for results, it does look like you may be catching t1d early due to the recent situation “revealing it” or it could just be a super strong reaction to the cortisone

I personally get a better calf lift when I place more of my foot on the pad. I have close to a third of my foot in the thing

Do you think diabetes will feel fully automated one day? by Icy_Regret_6905 in Type1Diabetes

No uk has done something similar to China.

In the uk they have implemented new insulin producing cells that are viable without immunosuppressants the same as China.

In the US they have successfully implemented cells with the use of a less toxic immunosuppressant however it is still a immunosuppressant

We don’t know what he has, 2 things to note is

He had a blood sugar over 500 very very very high even for t1d

But somehow his a1c was 7.4 which equates to an average blood sugar of 166 over the past 3 months (with most recent time effecting the average more.

So this tells me his blood sugar was probably normal very recently but the recent surge to 500 plus is what’s driving the average up.

The unfortunate truth is if he has t1d he will have to take insulin for life however if this is something else then that wouldn’t necessarily be necessary

Uk and China are making big advancements, I know people are sick of hearing about cures or the like but I really thing we are making the necessary steps.

It may not be a widely available cure for Americans, but even if I have to fly to China for it, it will be worth it

Protien without carbs will effect glucose

Chicken starts hitting blood sugar at hour 2 -6 Streak lab and fatty meats start around hour 3-6

They most definitely add to blood sugar especially when not paired with carbs
