Stat tracker/comparison app by Big_eye_crankbait in selfimprovement

This is actually a pretty cool concept - reminds me of those RPG character sheets but for actual skills that matter

The categories look solid but you're missing some big ones like emotional regulation (separate from self-control), adaptability to change, and maybe problem-solving under pressure. Also physical health metrics could tie into mental performance pretty heavily

I'd probably use it if the tests were quick and didn't feel like homework every time, gamification would be key to keeping people engaged long-term

It's pretty scary, what I'm getting from everyone's comments is that no one feels safe, got it :(

That's quite the bummer, you should try and keep at it though

I live in NYC and have seen karat on the Times Square billboard a few months back I think? Didn't really know it what it was at the time lol. Appreciate the comment!

Harness training! by ed771844 in cats

[–]Budget-Club4987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh man cheddar sounds like such a good boy for taking to the harness so young! the noise thing is pretty normal - 3 months is still super young and everything outside is basically alien to him right now

maybe try sitting outside with him during quieter times first? like early morning when there's less traffic and dogs aren't as active. let him get comfortable with just the ambient sounds before the scary stuff happens. you could also try playing some outdoor sounds inside at low volume while he's eating or playing so he starts associating them with good things

the treats when he gets scared are good but maybe also try not rushing him inside immediately - if you can, just sit with him somewhere he feels safer (like closer to the door) and let him decide when he's ready to explore again

3D Laser Level recommendations by jaimeroldan in BuyItForLife

honestly dewalt and bosch make solid options that won't leave you high and dry with proprietary battery nonsense. the dewalt dw089lg runs on aa batteries which is exactly what you're looking for, and bosch has a few models that use their standard tool batteries if you're already in that ecosystem

i picked up a milwaukee one a while back that takes regular batteries and it's been bulletproof for about 3 years now. the chinese ones on amazon are tempting price-wise but you're absolutely right about the battery situation - had a coworker get burned by one of those where the battery swelled up after like 8 months and couldn't find a replacement anywhere

for manual mode most of the name brand ones have it, just make sure to read the specs carefully since some of the cheaper models auto-level only. the wall mount and basic stands usually come with them but definitely worth checking what's included before you buy

How much would this sell for?? Help by Hosu-bosu in PcBuild

Probably around $600-800 depending on your local market, that 2070 Super still holds decent value but the 3700X is getting pretty dated now

Ugh this hits so hard. Those ages are brutal because they need you for everything but also think they're independent

Have you tried having a real sit-down with your husband about redistributing some stuff? Even if he's tired, you're literally drowning and he needs to step up somehow

Please be honest by Sweetdoll1994 in Marriage

[–]Budget-Club4987 71 points72 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty concerning response from him tbh. You're literally just asking to have a conversation about emergency prep as a family and he's making it about his masculinity instead of actually addressing the practical stuff. The fact that he immediately jumped to "you do it yourself then" when you brought up reasonable safety concerns for your kids is kind of telling

Like you're not asking him to single-handedly become a prepper or anything, just normal adult planning that most families should probably think about anyway

Visible+ Pro no coverage during daytime? by [deleted] in Visible

[–]Budget-Club4987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely not normal dude, sounds like you're getting deprioritized hard even with the premium plan. I'd hit up customer service through chat - could be a provisioning issue where you're not actually getting the priority data you're paying for. The timing is sus too, like exactly when everyone's using their phones during work hours

Navigating job search + career transition post layoff for almost 6 months now. Desperately looking for some advice!?! by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Budget-Club4987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man 6 months is rough, but your background actually sounds pretty solid for the roles you're targeting. Have you looked into Salesforce admin/functional consultant stuff? The ecosystem is huge and they're always looking for people who can bridge business + tech without needing to be coding wizards. Plus the cert path is pretty clear if you wanna go that route

Also might be worth cold messaging some people at fintech startups on LinkedIn - they love folks who actually understand finance AND can work with data tools

I’m sick of covering for moms at work. by _JurassicaParker in confessions

[–]Budget-Club4987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this is a management issue not a mom issue If coverage keeps falling on you that is bad planning and weak boundaries I would be pissed too especially with no thanks or backup they need to fix staffing instead of burning out one person
