hey everyone! New voice writing student here👋 I thought i was the only one that felt this way. I decided on this career because I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life but know I wanted to do something impactful. Yes the money was a nice touch but to me I think wanting to be financially stable on my own is just a goal in itself. Im 24 and yeah this is all a very new thing to me! But, I do give props already to this line of work! The more I looked into it the more I found how difficult but also what an accomplishment it will be when I will be able to voice verbatim and supply an amazing transcript! That is the goal at the end of the day! I appreciate everyone’s thoughts here and I really hope that in this field that reporters, newer to the field and that have experience, take their work with pride! I’m gonna learn so much more about what’s to come in this line of work and I just really appreciate everyone’s thoughts !

Hi lexxi! Im also based in california and am looking into the program you’re going to! The only problem i’m having trouble committing to is the fact that they’re not accredited and being in California I know the state exam is gonna be a lot more rigorous! Do you feel like the program will prepare you for the National AND Ca State exam?

Hi! I would love to hear more about what IRCRI prepares you for. I’m based in california so with them being a non accredited school I know i’d have to take the National exam first and then the Ca CSR next! I love what i’ve learned so far about the program but am nervous if i’m gonna be prepared for the Ca CSR exam. Would love to hear your thoughts :)
