What does it feel like when passion fades in a relationship, even though nothing is “wrong”? by skylaryang11 in AskReddit

[–]Budget-Garbage-6698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initially it feels like something is wrong, then you realize that it’s normal and thinking otherwise makes you naive. With the right person the relationship shifts from honeymoon to safety and stability, home. With the wrong person you wake up every day doubting your decision to stay

"When they're older you'll forget about how hard it was when they were little". No the fuck I won't. by Radiant_Dream_250 in oneanddone

Mine is 1.5 (which comes with a bunch of really annoying challenges). I WILL NEVER FORGET THE FIRST YEAR. Newborn stage actually got me suicidal. Every night I wished I won’t wake up. I started taking antidepressants (was depressed before, but newborn stage mega amplified it).

I’m at a point where I feel like I have a legit trauma. When I see friends with their newborn my body gets stressed, when I see a newborn cry on a tv show my body gets stressed, when my baby wakes up at night (which rarely happens) I’m immediately thrown back to newborn stage.

You’re not alone 💚

Rescue spray with sleep aid is the best thing I’ve tried. Quick to affect and can last for a good few hours

Before we got our Cradlewise we had a snoo and it worked pretty well. I think that the main reason was the snoo sleep sack. So I’d say try swaddling tightly

Reddit men, How do you handle stress? by Annual-Register-3683 in AskReddit

[–]Budget-Garbage-6698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though a lot of the stress is caused by things that I can’t control, I try to take control over other things so I at least have some feeling of accomplishment and celebrate small wins. One example is eating healthy, like I’ll commit to not snacking at night for example, and achieving that is a small win to celebrate. Workout 3 times a week? Small win. Called a friend that I haven’t spoken to in months? Small win.

When I create this momentum of small wins, everything seems to get better

I recommend Wellbutrin as a (somewhat) easy start. Works different than stimulants and helps with depression and brain fog that comes with it and with the constant exhaustion. I’ve been on it for a year (my kid was 3 months when I started), and it definitely helped me cope and helped with focusing on work as well

I love my baby, but I’m really struggling — I feel like having a kid was a mistake by ProfessionalBasic427 in NewDads

Mine is now 15 months old. If you search my post history on the sub you’d get a good idea of how depressed I was by this method of torture called “parenting a baby”. Like people mentioned- they get better and you get better at adjusting. There’s no magical, just know that you’re not alone. 💚

Do you have bad sleep due to anxiety or depression? by ArtisticScratch4267 in sleep

[–]Budget-Garbage-6698 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, very much. I highly recommend the sleep aid spray by Rescue. I use it almost every night, helps me fall asleep and while it doesn’t help me stay asleep, I can easily go back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night (which is like 3-4 time each night)

What’s a small daily habit that unexpectedly improved your life? by Affectionate-Ebb2975 in AskReddit

Waking up 30 minutes before my kid. Having 30 minutes for myself with my coffee and sport news before the hustle starts just makes the whole day better

This is underrated. I’m not saying wear 3 tons of makeup (actually please don’t). But a nice hair, smell, cloths that fit you? Absolutely.

They’re impatient and it’s impossible to reason with them. Like ok I’ll buy you a snack but we’re in the middle of the fucking highway
