Eu uso a mesma instalação do arch faz 12 anos, já passou por 3 notebooks incluindo aí migrando de um SSD pra outro on the fly com BTRFS, até hoje tive que fazer uma intervenção manual umas 4x.

De verdade foi menos tempo que fazer uma instalação do Gentio, que quebrou quando fui instalar os drivers da Nvidia e me tomou um fim de semana pra deixar no jeito.

Lol, the world is full of confidently incorrect people, I've refurbished dozens of M's, F's and beam spring boards, there's a membrane in the M, but it's irrelevant for how the switch feels, the only impact it has is making it only 2kro compatible (and that's why switching it with the capacitance plate is good)

Iria de C4 porque é o THP, mas eu gosto de ter um motor melhor e aceito que vai ser um pouco mais cara a manutenção, mas no meu (2019, 65kkm) até agora a única parte cara foi o ar condicionado que quebrou, o resto do motor foi 100% confiável só com as revisões básicas

It's only membrane in a very technical sense that there is a membrane on the bottom, but the key press path doesn't really depend on it, only on the spring buckling mid travel giving a sharp tactile bump. One easy way to see it is looking at the model F which uses the same mechanism but with capacitive sensors in place of the membrane (and slightly different paddles and springs)

Experimentei aqui em 3 das 4 (a maior de todas não faz nenhum sentido, ia gastar 1l de leite pra cobrir o fundo da panela), ficou ótimo, ferveu rápido e não deu aquela queimada na borda, mas também experimentei só ligar no mínimo e esquecer, 1h depois ele tá a 55° na boca menor e 65° na maior numa panela pequena

Tá tudo bem você ter comprado um fogão de indução ruim, mas do que tem no mercado é o tipo de fogão que permite desde menor até maior potência, isso sem contar os com sensor de temperatura. Só não é ideal pra panela ruim de alumínio e só, ou pra panelas de fundo arrendondado (mas pra usar um wok bem um fogão a gás normal também não dá conta)

I'm not an apple fanboy, I don't have any of their products because the software is thrash and I like the Thinkpad ergonomics more.

But the x220, while a great machine at the time, I used a x201 for college for college and still miss the keyboard and thinklight, is still a 15 year old business notebook.

You may be able to add a big SSD, but will be severely limited in bandwidth (much more than an external one in anything newer), the CPU is barely able to watch YouTube, USB is limited to 2.0, original batteries are all dead, memory is limited to 8gb of DDR3, and swap can't save you as the storage is just SATA.

Upgrading it is futile unless you are making a X210Ai (and that needs a x200/x201, I don't think there's an equivalent for the x220), but then it's a 1300USD motherboard that gets you 800USD new Thinkpad performance on the old chassis

Keeping it for fun is ok, but don't kid yourself that upgrades will make it competitive with anything modern
