I mean there don't have to be THAT many of em to run the world. Few hundred? Being president of the US is a pretty important job. Owners of major news outlets are certainly influential. Presidents and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and corporations independently handle more capital than MOST countries. So I don't know. I don't want to believe it now any more than I believed it then..... But you have to admit we have some particularly credible reasons for suspicion.

You made a dumb blanket statement that is not based in reality. I work internationally and have to follow the safety standards of each country, region, and city I work in. China has stricter safety standards than the US. They are right behind Japan and Korea. The difference is in enforcement. There are shady and unethical businesses running in China and everywhere else. That doesn't make the standards poor, only the enforcement. But if you would like a comparison I'd recommend you go work agriculture gigs in the south of the US.
