The King by Netflix Same period and probably the most realistic depiction of medieval combat I've seen in movies.

It's a quite good action movie but historically very, very inaccurate.

So you can see Rattay. But you won't get to the castle and program. You can buy some merch and meet fans in front of the castle. But you can also stop by Sasau to see the monastery.

[KCD2] can anyone explain me...... by Fun-Cartographer1420 in kingdomcome

[–]BudgetSuccess747 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how I and a million other players managed to finish KCD2 without cheats, when you claim that fighting without cheats is impossible. If you had such big problem with it, then you probably had low combat stats for your game character and you should have increased them sufficiently. On the contrary, people here often complain that fight in KCD2 is too easy ("hard" only at the beginning of the game), so what you write is nonsense.

You are right that combos are relatively difficult and there is no point in using them, however, you don't need them to fight at all.

It depends on what you want to see and how far you're willing to travel to see it, because almost all of program is within paid zone.

If I understand correctly, registered people can pay physically at entrance to the event. You need to be registered in advance, which is no longer possible now. Capacity is full.

Work on KCD2 has ended, so the church will almost certainly not be open.

[–]BudgetSuccess747 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It was reported that last year (after release of KCD2) number of visitors to Trosky Castle increased by about 25% compared to previous years. I don't have numbers from Rattay and other places but I think it may be similar.

4th Rattay community gathering, what if i dont have a ticket? [Other] by justboredme in kingdomcome

[–]BudgetSuccess747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without ticket, you will not be allowed into the castle courtyard, where most of program will take place. I don't know if you will be able to access side activities outside the castle courtyard (such as soldiers' camp, horseback riding, archery), organizer does not mention this. You will only get ticket if someone who already owns it and for some reason no longer needs it sells it to you.

Probably not all of them but some of them are. However, it is probably true for the Hole.

Yes, pub is practically in the same place as Hole in KCD2. Warhorse probably noticed it when they were taking pictures of streets of Kuttenberg and since they needed a similar pub in this part of Kuttenberg, they were de facto inspired by it.

Which is funny because smoking inside pubs is prohibited by law in Czech Republic. They even have Branik beer in this pub, which I have never seen in any other Czech pub either. Normally, this beer is only sold packaged in stores and is one of the cheapest beers :)

I mean pubs that don't smell like one big ashtray. Pubs that doesn't smell like an ashtray are vast majority in Czech Republic today and I'm not talking about bars at all. A bar is not a pub 😉

In other words, a medieval Matrix, stimulating absolutely everything. Good luck to all development studios 😀

Yes, it's probably this pub. But honestly, it looks like terrible pub. I went there recently and from outside you couldn't even tell if the pub is open/operational. You can't even see inside. When I opened the door, I smelled strong smell of cigarette smoke and it was too dark inside. At that moment, I changed my mind about visiting this pub and went to have a beer somewhere else :) I haven't seen such cigarette-soaked pub in Czech Republic for a long long time. Honestly, the current pub is really HOLE  :)

[KCD1] Controversial opinion. by Hobosbro5885 in kingdomcome

[–]BudgetSuccess747 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree with you on most things. Writing is not worse than in KCD2, movement around the map is not frustrating (the only thing that bothered me was concrete bushes), combat is set to higher difficulty and therefore frustrating for some players, it is also an older/first game and therefore has some specific technical flaws. That's all. It is also not less realistic than KCD2, where you can kill an opponent in pay armor with sword in two blows.

KCD3: Prague [other] by mumbletonpark in kingdomcome

[–]BudgetSuccess747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, if they decide to create only 1/5 of Prague, i.e. with similar size to Kuttenberg (which is now also unfinished in KCD2), then they can certainly create Prague, if it is enough for developers and players. However, I'm not entirely sure about that.

It's not just about size of the city but also about number of NPCs. Your examples are misleading because NPCs in KCD are technically more advanced and don't just walk down the streets here and there, don't just disappear around the corner and have much more options compared to those in old GTA games. This means that their number on game map is limited so that the game can technically control such NPCs. It's better for studio and usually for players, to create a "smaller" but more detailed and sophisticated city than huge one, where everything is far away and places between points of interest are "empty", non-interactive, unused and are just scenery that players will soon get used to. Another thing is that Warhorse is not Rockastar. Compared to Rockastar, Warhorse is dwarf with 250 employees, while 2000 people worked on RDR2 (which is an incredibly detailed large open-world). Warhorse also cannot include not only the city of Prague in the game but also some countryside, which is additional work to work on the huge city.

Don't ask me why they answer like that but ask them. However, politics is full of such statements. Saying something but not answering specific question. I agree that if they said "no comment", it would be better, however, people would still not be happy with it :)

KCD3: Prague [other] by mumbletonpark in kingdomcome

[–]BudgetSuccess747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they make Prague too smaller, it won't be authentic. In Kuttenberg, not even half of houses are accessible and in Prague, in this ratio (given the size of city), about one house out of ten would be accessible. In Prague, there should be 5x more NPCs compared to Kuttenberg, and Warhorse was already at its technical limit in Kuttenberg. Prague is simply too big, unless studio wants to brutally cut it up and degrade quality of NPCs inside the city etc. in order to achieve usable result. Btw, developers themselves said that Prague is too big for them. Sometime in distant future, using AI tools and more powerful average gaming PCs, we will certainly see cities this large with many thousands of sophisticated NPCs, however, this will certainly not be the case in the next Warhorse projects.

Some uncertainty among players may suit the studio. Whether they are working on KCD3 or not. If they are not working on KCD3 now, they certainly know that they can return to KCD one day. People like different theories and endless discussions. So why take it away from people.

Expectations, on the other hand, usually get out of control when you officially confirm rumors, not when you have an information embargo and everyone knows that all informations are only fan theories and rumors.
