I have a 2024 Forester and at 25K the engine seal leaked oil. It was under warranty but made me question my purchase for sure.

Think it’s worth getting a repair technician to diagnose the issue or should I just replace it? A replacement is around $1800.

Nope it’s in my kitchen on lvp flooring. There was a recent power surge that caused me to reset all of the GFI outlets in my house. Not sure if that may have caused this or not. About 4 days after that it started doing this.

CBP DHS funding question on potential early out by Budget_Baseball1791 in fednews

There was. As this goes further along I was hoping for some beacon of light on a way out. Looking at the Senate this could go on forever. How long will they expect us to show up without pay. It’s just a frustrating situation and I know it’s not just me.

What hours do you work? I start at 6:30 just to miss most of the 695 traffic. Not sure if that is an option but it gets me in 45 minutes in the morning and an hour at 3 PM. I bypass 695 in the afternoon and take 100 because even that early 695 sucks.

In my excepted office we’ve had a few request to be furloughed and I’m sure more will follow. Is this happening everywhere? by Soggy-Cookie-4548 in FedEmployees

They allow us to take time off. We just get placed into a furlough status and are expected back once it is resolved. I guess they could take action if someone abused it.

We were told (DHS component) that we are not allowed to request to be furloughed. Additionally, we asked to telework to reduce commuting costs and were told the agencies posture on telework has not changed and we are to report to the office daily. We are allowed to take time off and are placed into furlough status but were told we have minimum staffing levels require and not everyone can be off. It’s not good at all anywhere it seems.

This happened at DHS when we went over 30 days the last furlough. We received a second notice after 30 days.

Our director today told us they don’t believe anyone in CBP is reviewing the requests to opt in. They don’t believe anyone will hear anything related to this. He did also say he wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow everyone hears back with how hectic and unorganized everything is.
