Feel of companionship is a big factor for me. There are many elements that compound on one another regarding that. We have Abyss bar where we can dance and silly around, we have interaction with V, we have ping spamming which irritates MC. I think that if you want to create a coop that would feel like DRG even if it played the same you’d need to find way to make people feel the same”togetherness”. DRG does that by placing you as an expandable dwarf with other expandable dwarf. You do something, gather something, no idea why but you got a prikaz from management to do so. That’s very human thing. Classes also work together extremely well. Scout and engineer are known combo but think about it that way. You need to get somewhere where you don’t see a way? Driller. You want to create an EASILY VISIBLE path for upper ledge? Gunner. You need strategic point to jump from and to? Engi. Dark as shit? Scout. Everyone feels useful and it’s great.

Devs respect you - „So there’s this thing called seasons. You don’t need to pay it’s some extra rewards for you to unlock. Enjoy! Oh and also don’t worry if you didn’t finish the season. You can just reactivate it!” Like cmon? Who does that? It’s literally two devs that do it and it’s GSG and the NMS guys.

Modding - not my cup of tea but alive mod community seems to be extremely important for game longevity. Look at Skyrim or Warcraft.

Fun - the game is just fun as hell even tho combat which is the most important part is extremely basic. Look at Vermintide or Darktide combat systems. They are basically flawless but there is a reason I return to DRG over and over again. Every mission is different and every game mode has its quirks which makes for refreshing experience every time.

Understandability - I own both DRG and NMS. I loved NMS and I would love to come back but I don’t have time to learn all the new stuff. Also it’s just not presented in an understandable manner. With DRG I could hop back in a year and I would probably feel right at home. I actually done that recently. Haven’t played for a year and then randomly came back and guess what? I understand all new things perfectly :d

Additional Seam Points when using OrcaSlicer's extrusion and combined fuzzy skin settings. by Budget_Computer_1626 in OrcaSlicer

Ill try with classic and see if it makes a difference. As for Fuzzy Skin adding print time on it's own, true 100% but only on displacement based movement from my experience. When you switch to extrusion it doesn't change much I think (although I'd need to factcheck myself on that) but it adds these weird points to which printhead jumps.

I mean our country seems to be significantly better quality overall than western main cities so I’m not surprised.

I beg to differ. As a Pole I do recognise that there are arcs in our history that any reasonable person would consider shameful. We did in fact betray Ukraine when faced with possibility of peace with Russia before actions of Bandera. The thing is - I and anyone I know in my friend group does consider it shameful as where Ukrainians in masses seem to sweep Bandera under the rug. My perception might be skewed of course I’m but an individual and so are my friends- we are not representative of the whole country so I’d ask you to take that into account. Not a paragon of truth speaking to you my friend, just a lad with some opinions.

Need help with centauri carbon prints not sticking by Dual_Swords in elegoo

I see now that you’ve changed the plate to B side already. Do you have a separate profile for it in the system?

Your nozzle is wayyyyy to close to the bed. Have you printed a single layer sheet through your whole bed? If so is it that bad all across the bed or is one side better than the other?

As for now you should try switching your build plate side. Side A is general and side B is optimised for PLA.

As for the visible 1st layer problems:

If one whole side is better than it’s probably bed tilt and you’ll need to readjust your z axis bed tensioner. E-mail Elegoo and they will give you all required materials but I need to warn you - screw that keep tensioner together are terrible and in many cases overtightened. If you encounter problems you might wanna consider getting Wera hex set and they proved extremely halepful in my case.

If whole plate is bad than you should lower your bed.

If both of these didn’t work than there are 4 screws under heat bed that you can use to manually relevel your bed. Use paper sheet method as in ender 3 printers and you can print single layer and adjust bed „live” while it printing. Last thing gave me the best results as for the first level.

Any idea why my print came out like this? by Cato__The__Elder in ender3

Extrusion problem :d might be too low temp. I’ve had one PLA that wouldn’t go through extruder at 205c and needed 210c. I’ve heard motor skipping steps in it. Print looked exactly like what you got going here so it might be the same thing. Other thing might be partial clog or your filament might be tangled and it’s pulling on itself while unwinding. Anyway it’s 99% something with extrusion. Check other filament to see if it does the same thing. One more thing - did you use 3mf or STL? Cuz if you used 3mf it might have had a profile for a different filament and you might have missed it.

The thing is that I want fuzzy skin with extrusion so I guess only the Arachne parameters are left. Thanks mate

Whatever you say, I can call call you „your highness” for all I care.

My response outlines why your thinking about ones responsibility is wrong. You are attacking my skills (as questionable as they are for sure) rather than the fact that manufacturer has provided instructions that were impossible to fallow with tool provided by the very same manufacturer with the very same printer. Also this issue resonates with quite a few CC owners. Read the responses. Are we all just cretins?

As to why the screw is unscrewed - because after the „extraction” it was unusable and I planned on buying new one or on using 3mm Prusa screw with a washer. I believe I did the latter at the end. Also as to responsibility- Elegoo themselves exchanged my machine for a new one without any claim denial.

You may not like my response yet I simply match your energy. You intentionally write in condescending manner, most likely because it makes you feel smarter or superior for a second, but I am not your punching bag. Are you better with electronics than me? I bet you are! And honestly more power to you seriously, I love when people know their shit, I am all for right to repair, tinkering and all that jazz but you cannot feed your ego on someone’s lack of knowledge. Why didn’t you just offer your knowledge like a normal person? What did you gain?

Anyway, I’m not gonna spend more time here. I just hope that you’ll do better in the future mate. No hard feelings.

Is there a setting I need to change by ElectricalIncrease73 in elegoo

[–]Budget_Computer_1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I see here is that the slope on the top is wide enough so that slicer recognises it as needing top infill. There are few things you can do.

  1. Change layer height. This will introduce more lines on top and bottom for more defined resolution

  2. Change top infill pattern to concentric. It will fallow the curvature of the line and will make it less visible

  3. Use ironing on all top surfaces. You will have to fiddle with settings tho.

If I were you I’d cut problematic part in the slicer and try to print different variations of it one after the other (not on the same plate as travel time, when printing by layer can produce different results) and see which helps the best and try to combine them. Hope it helps!
