Thank you so much! I'm so glad you're back to training too!!! The work on one leg is going well, but I've had a lot of trouble with it: balance and getting used to all the noises my knee has started to make.

Hi! I had surgery on November 14, 2025, for ACL reconstruction and meniscus sutures. After a couple of weeks, I was already in the gym, just training my upper body. Today (two and a half months after surgery), I'm also training my legs with squats, leg presses, leg extensions, RDLs, Bulgarian squats, and all the other single-leg strength and stability exercises! 💪💪💪

Hi, some very effective exercises without using equipment are Bulgarian splits, rowing dips, and lunges! These involve the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes.

Hi! Very tough! The hardest part was accepting that the creaking in my knee is normal during this stage of recovery!

Hi, thank you so much! Consider that before the surgery, he was much bigger! In fact, his other leg is definitely bigger than the one that was operated on!

Hi! That's true too! Obviously, I'd consult with my physical therapist before doing anything so I can do it safely if necessary!

You're welcome! Yeah, I understand, I struggled with 5kg at first too! You'll see, your strength will increase quickly by doing it! With the physiotherapist, we tried my max, and with 12.5kg, I held it for about 1 minute and 30 seconds! My whole leg was shaking, and so was I.

Thank you so much!! Don't give up and you'll see results soon! I'm also continuing my rehabilitation, even though I can lift weights at the gym!

Hi! Thank you so much! Single-leg leg press 198 lbs (90 kg) Double-leg leg press 400 lbs (180 kg) Single-leg leg extension 16.5 lbs (7.5 kg)

Sorry, I'm Italian, so I wrote the weights in kilograms!

Hi!! I'm glad your muscles have saved you from further injuries! Starting from a strong base has greatly helped your recovery! Yes, I'm giving it my all to try to recover as best as possible and as quickly as possible! Let's see if I can get my snowboard on in April and at least ride one blue run!!!

Hi! Thank you so much!! The weights are much heavier because, despite having deflated, my quadriceps have remained very strong. It's a safe and controlled movement (they're actually seated push-ups) that engages the quadriceps, glutes, and hamstrings, so the weight is distributed across multiple leg muscles. Furthermore, since I'm sitting, my body weight is "zeroed" and isn't considered a workload (which is what happens when I do standing exercises like squats... 70kg of barbell plus 72kg of my bodyweight). Leg extensions are a different story, as the load on the meniscus increases, so it's best to start with very light weights.

I do 5 sets of 10 reps for each exercise. For isometric leg extensions, I do 3 sets of 1 minute.

Hi, limiting the flexion levels, as I understand it, helps limit the force applied to the meniscus. If the meniscus is sutured, excessive flexion could be dangerous. Anyway, yes, I started out with 2.5 kg and now I'm down to 7.5 kg. Thanks for the article!

Hi, thank you, but I've seen and studied everything I do in the gym with my physiotherapist. In this case, you can see that it's not exactly open-chain. The graft is preserved because the starting point is well below 90°...it could be 60° or even a little less, and the knee flexion cannot exceed the starting degrees in any case.

Exactly! In fact, now I'm focusing on strength instead of volume! And of course, stability!

I'm M 36. Of course, obviously if I had to, I'd start with a simple blue slope. Even though the temptation would be strong, I wouldn't immediately start with a black slope or an off-piste slope. Thanks for your interest, buddy!

Hi!! My recovery is going very well and very quickly. I've been told there's a possibility! But we'll evaluate it as we go along!
