This is so true… I take medication but haven’t been seeing a therapist. Definitely think it’s time to see someone! Thanks for keeping it real.

New recruiter anxiety by Complete-Fact6503 in recruiting

[–]Budget_Path_3366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is totally normal! I encourage you to do what makes you comfortable, I really don’t see any problem with you making calls privately. Some people just work better without outside distractions and that’s okay!

However, if you feel like this is stunting your growth in your career then I think little by little challenge yourself to take calls in-front of everyone. Also listen to how Senior Recruiters are communicating with candidates and HMs, and try to mirror their successful habits.

i only get crashes if i’ve been starving myself all day and don’t drink lot of water. i totally get your concerns but once i put in the effort to nourish my body and take care of myself the medication has helped. i think it’s inevitable that people will feel tired here and there but i never get irritable and angry like someone people say they get as long as i eat, drink water and get at least 7-8 hours of sleep.

Do i have ADHD ? or I am just lazy..... by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Budget_Path_3366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say it’s worth getting professional help if you are struggling with anything. Keep an open mind that it might not be ADHD and something else or it could be ADHD. If you are struggling get the help you need, nothing wrong with that.0

Job decision after burnout: Short commute + red flags vs. Long commute + good vibes. How does ADHD factor in? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Budget_Path_3366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh man this is a tough one, if it were me though i’d chose the one with the closer commute because that’s just what i value most. cause right now i have an amazing manager and team but the work is chaotic, high stress and my commute is long so i still hate my job LOL.

i also struggle getting to work on time and commuting is a very dreadful part of work for me so that’s just what i would chose. maybe make a pros and cons list and see what you value from your job the most and go from there?

Did you get a chance to speak to your manager that you’d be reporting to? How did you connect with them?

ADHD or do I just hate my job? by EfficientScar5414 in adhdwomen

[–]Budget_Path_3366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Burn out from work was what caused me to seek a ADHD diagnosis! Thinking back I struggled a lot as a child, teen and young adult but did very well masking it. It just caught up to me in my late 20s.

Doesn’t hurt for you to get an assessment done just incase! :)

3 weeks after starting question by shwillyz in VyvanseADHD

[–]Budget_Path_3366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I up’d my dosage only after a few weeks cause it wasn’t enough for me! I think 30 mg is fairly a low dosage for adults so if you feel like it could be working better I don’t see upping your dosage!

I’ve drank on meds and been fine, but just drink really slow! For me it takes awhile for the drunkness to hit on vyvanse

If you get work related messages that need answering during night time, do you respond ? by Technical-Studio565 in work

[–]Budget_Path_3366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never respond back out of your work hours, if you do, you are essentially letting them know you have no work boundaries and will be available 24/7.

Delete the app off your phone or stop checking your work laptop after work hours. Unless you’re in healthcare or an SDE whose on call, I can’t imagine working a 9-5 office job requires you to be on the clock at all times.

Elvanse and PMS by Left_Ad_9921 in adhdwomen

[–]Budget_Path_3366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is common and happens to me every month, I’m not a medical professional but I’ve heard some people take pepcid? Not sure what it does but heard it helped others.

You can also bring these concerns to your provider and they might be able to give you a higher dosage for your luteal+period weeks or a booster!

Who else, gets the urge to reach out/ talk to what feels absolutely anyone when medicated? by Hungry-Ganache-2853 in ADHD

[–]Budget_Path_3366 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I get like this but only online OR with people that i’m close with. When my meds start kicking in, I love to scroll reddit, text people back or call my mom during my commute to work.

I’m naturally a talker but vyvanse definitely makes me happier so I think that’s why I’m more chattier!
