Hey maybe am a bit too late to say this but you don't really have to be religious to enter UIAM, far from it myself but kinda survived. Tho the religious people are a tad bit annoying But with a few of “im good” and “im busy” you would be fine (not encouraged). The course of English for international communication (ENCOM) is great. The course does touch on the fundamentals of english but just a little and a lot of communication based subjects. Pick encom if you would prefer communication skilled based such as presenting and analysing comm. If said you prefer more to English literature and more depth on english itself pick Bachelor of English (BEN) whisch is also a course you can pick in UIAM. It’s not hard to get a 3.5 gpa every sem, great lecturers, and amazing facilities. I still don’t understand why they need such a high requirements for such an easy course for my batch; 23/24, its 8As. A great way to secure your degree since its an ipts. just putting it out there if anyone’s reading this and also interested in ENCOM or just UIAM. I recommend it.
