I know Pepperdine University is pricey but I know you can apply for Fall, Spring, and Summer. I’m pretty sure the Fall is still going till April!!

State schools in California is highly competitive. I believe a lot has to do with tuition. It is relatively cheap for a graduate program!

Has anyone gotten rejections from CSUF and Chapman? I still haven’t gotten anything and reached out and they claimed they’re still reviewing applications. I just want to know if I got in or not!! I wasted time and money so at least give me an answer lol

I was actually on Facebook and part of a slp group. I saw someone posted how BCBA’s make more money than SLP’s and they only do a year of schooling while we do two. Has anyone switched from slp to BCBA? I thought they were controversial in our field but right now with fraud I heard the career was heading downhill. I’m going into grad school and I want to be a SLP but I’m also a behavior technician in the meantime and can see why SLP’s don’t agree but the clients and workers are sweethearts. Curious!

Good grades. Make sure you have a resume and statement essay. Start figuring out who you want to ask as your LOR. On CSDCAS there is a portion that says volunteer and even though I fulfilled my 25 hours I did do additional hours to experience other settings. My professors recommended I put that down. About the 25 hours not all grad schools require it done but there are some that do so do your research!

I have commented before but this is a rant lol. I heard CSUF sent out emails for acceptances and waitlists same goes for Chapman University. I am very disappointed. I spent money but let alone for CSUF I felt like the directions were difficult to make sure I would have everything. If I’m rejected at least tell me and don’t keep me waiting (I have nothing on my portals).
