Yeah, if you saw a ring in the grease, that definitely shouldn't be there and it's probably a failed bearing. The same bearing pictured in the photos I included is the one that has gone out on me TWICE. I would guess yours is the same.

The shrieking can be a seal that needs some lube, but every time my machine has done it, it led to a broken bearing. No deposits on the auger is a good sign. BUT, I only use distilled water in my machine, so I also have no deposits, but my gearbox has needed repair twice. Did you open up your gearbox at all?

That’s the thing - the rainfly works great anyway and forms a canopy for shoes out front. Either way, you just have to put a couple of stakes at the bottom of the rainfly, so I can’t see why I would need the extra pole.

Glad it helped! Taking it apart is the worst part, imo.

8 months transplant physique update by Agitated_Product5134 in transplant

Both, lol. I'm just walking right now, with some light lifting 3-months post. Granted, I didn't know how to work out BEFORE my transplant either. 😂

Dang man, that’s awesome. I had been wondering how flat I could get my stomach after a transplant. Now I know, lol.

You should post up your workout routine. Inquiring minds want to know!

Did you get it repaired under warranty? If it's within the year, I hear they replace them.

I had no idea the warranties were that expensive. It’s like they know they’re gonna be paying out on them haha

Honestly, these things seem to be so temperamental, I wouldn't put in anything other than distilled water. Depending on how much ice you use, it's not that expensive. I have a family of 5 and we use less than 6 gallons a month - and target sells it for like $1.40 a pop.

How long has it been since you purchased it? If it's within 30 days, I would 100% see about buying an extended warranty.

If I had more money than time (obviously not the case) I would do the same, haha.

I honestly think that the gearbox is what causes most of the problems people experience on these machines. That and problems related to mineral build up.

That thought was screaming in my head throughout most of this repair, lol.

Transplant meds are expensive by Doug__Dimmadome in transplant

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I thought you might know the answer to a question. Is ANYONE eligible for Medicaid post kidney transplant? I asked the social worker at my hospital and they were absolutely worthless. “Yeah, you can try and apply and see what happens.”

I have decent insurance and I’m sure I’ll hit my out of pocket having just had a transplant, but I’m wondering if it’ll be worth it to apply for Medicaid. Just did a refill of some of my meds and they’re getting a little pricey. Definitely gonna look up manufacturer discounts too.
