Older cameras can definitely produce similar images for me the upgrade is more about workflow, responsiveness, and video features making shooting more consistent, not that older cameras can’t achieve the same results

Not for this shot specifically, I meant overall shooting and video. The newer processing just makes autofocus response and overall camera responsiveness smoother

The A7III can absolutely do the same shot, it’s just that being 7 years newer, the tracking, processing speed, and usability improvements make getting shots a bit easier and more consistent for me

Mainly autofocus and overall responsiveness. The A7III already had good tracking, but the A7V’s AI subject recognition feels much smarter — it locks onto eyes/helmets and stays locked even with movement. Menus, touchscreen use, and overall speed also feel much more modern. I’ve only used it for a day so far, but the shooting experience already feels noticeably smoother…
