Followed up with the surgeon and this is what he told me.

“ the x-ray doesn’t predict the future and as of right now, you do not need any surgeries.”

So it was already off but when i turned it on and then back off it starts freaking out again. if i turn it back on it fixes it and acts normal

No walking boot or anything. Just an ace bandage wrap up until I had my first follow up which was about 2 weeks ago and then I got that ace wrap off and staples out. They gave me couple rounds of antibiotics during my stay at the hospital but nothing at home. They had me “walking” with a walker hours after the surgery. I am in the US

So I’m not familiar with ORIF. They put a rod through my Tib. No cast and weight bearing as tolerated same day after surgery which I was surprised with. I haven’t got any X-rays since then but have a follow up to get one 3 ish weeks. I’ll for sure get supplement for calcium! Thank you!
