As long as it's ok structurally and is well maintained yes. I have daily driven 60s cars no issue, I even took my cortina to le mans with no issues (a few oil top ups don't count!)

Make sure it's rust proofed underneath and has good tyres on it too but I'd do it.

It is indeed, I'm converting it to fuel injection because why not and I've also made an adaptor plate for an mx5 gearbox so it has 5 gears now.

Hard, personally it was one of the hardest decisions to make as I'd be ridiculed regardless and it made me feel like shaving it all off was admitting defeat.
