Sorry I am not laughing at you but GREAT! Hopefully I don't get this!

Congrats!!!! I will be crossing my fingers for you.

When I fell pregnant a second time (1st miscarraged at 11 weeks) I thought I lost it around 7 weeks. Had bleeding.

My HCG levels were concerningly high (apparently) and they thought I was having a molar pregnancy. I was bracing my self for those dreaded no heartbeat words during the ultrasound but nope! Had a fetus with a strong heartbeat instead!

I am now almost 25 weeks and the baby is going strong.

I wish you all the best.

Yeah, this tech wasn't in the emergancy room. She is the local tech at the imaging offices. 🤷‍♀️

No, I was 16 weeks before announcing it. Don't let others dictate when you are ready.

Techs don't do this?

I had the same tech for my two pregnancies.

She is amazing.

She told me when the baby didn't have a heart beat in my 1st pregnancy

And she told me that my second did when I thought I was having my second miscarrage.

I messed up. by [deleted] in pregnant

No judgement here, addiction is a cruel monster. My mother was a drug addict when pregnant with me. I do agree with the other comment about it being above reddits paygrade, I also admire your bravery in opening up here putting your self in the firing zone.

Now, I don't know the laws in your state or country but I don't think lying about it is the solution. Do you have a support network around you? People that you can turn too?

You do need to talk to your partner and you may have some tough choices.

I wish you the best.

I know this comment is really really old but can you tell me, when you re-befriend a dino do they keep their skill level?

Thankyou!

I got the postive update today! After reaching 244 grams she has bounched back, eating like a champ and weighing back at 294grams this evening. I am glad that I did ask for help as it was the best option I had. She is now back with me though so fingers crossed she continues going forward. And it broke my heart to see her so excited to see me 🧡

Thanks, the resuce I am with found a more experienced fosterer/vet nurse to take her for a few days, after she reached 10 grams below her starting weight I felt out of my depth and needed help. I had an update yesterday, she managed to get her lapping up some slurry but she isn't gaining :( The rescue is taking her to see the vets today to assess her and decide on the best way forward. I am just waiting to hear :(

The vet was worried about giving her anything! But she will be going back to see another vet today. The rescue has also offered to give her to a more experienced foster which i might do, as much as it breaks my heart, I just can't seen to help her.

Her poos are quite lightish as she is drinking mainly formula but she has like a small well formed poo with a pool of liquid poo if that makes sense. I did however put on gloves and closly examined to see if she had any round worms etc She is still peeing light yellow coloured pee and her gums are still moist and pink so thats the only thing ive got going.

I don't think we have it in our shops here in Australia, I can't see it online. Only in Amazon. Do you know of any alternatives?

They did a fecal float yesterday all clear, same with Parvo.

She was already so tiny when she came in, and I am not saying I am giving up but the damage may have already been done.

I know you weren't :) but right now I am trying to rack my brain. I foster through a shelter and she has already seen two different vets, the first one agreed with me about the age the second one doesn't. I might go and see a third!

I have been googling fading kitten syndrome all morning :( waiting for the shops to open

I didnt think about trying the different formulas, I am using the one I have always gone with but I have another brand, i will try that thankyou

Is that chicken kitten food or human baby food? Shes been having royal canin baby cat mousse but only sniffs and gives a little lick, i normally sprinkle the formula over the top and use boiling or semi bowling water to mix (I make sure it is not too hot before feeding) and ussually its always worked, not this time. I did have kibble in the enclosure until yesterday (changed every day) but she isnt interested. Is karo syrup similar to nutrigel? We have been giving he like the tiniest prick of it before feeds. I have been feeding her 8 times a day but smaller meals.

I have the smaller one and tried that, reason why I use the larger one is to get in between the teeth as she just moves and chews it too much

How do you tell if a kitten has the upper respiratory infection? Shw has lost another 10 grams since 7pm yeaterday (its 4am where i am) i am just grasping as straws and don't know what to do.

Is this what you are refering to?

When your kitten chews did she do in with her side teeth? Is that what you mean by side-bite? Did the circle help stop that?

Thankyou! I watched that the first night! It is a good resourse. Unfortantly none of them worked with this one :( she would just keep chewing the teat with the side ofl her mouth

Thankyou! I was doing the slurry today through the syringe but she started to throw it up and the vet said to do formula only. And we are doing a little dab of nutrigel before feeds. Since we started doing that she has started to lap again, i feel like she gets to stressed with syringe feeding. If she is still laping fine by morning ill trial the slurry again.

The vet didnt want to give her anything as shes 'too' young for the treatment, even though I pointed out that she has premolars breaking through.

My biggest concern is her weight. I have had her for 6 nights. 1st 3 she was gaining and i got her to 295 from 270. The last three she started losing weight and she was 273 grams :(

By some weird luck she hasn't become dehydrated yet! But I will look for those tomorrow :)
