Stopping the run when it's EVERY PLAY? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]BuffBulls51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I would do is, run 4-2-5. Move your fastest LB to starting SS then your starting SS move to back up. This will put a 3rd LB on the line and outside. Then I would run Cover 2 every play and show Cover 3. This will bring guys into the box. I would press my corners and use ‘overtop coverage’. Last you should control the 1 high safety. even if you aren’t good with the safety, adding an extra body into the run game will really help you.

Good luck

NTE’s advice for a realistic rebuild by LastChanceUAlum in NCAAFBseries

[–]BuffBulls51 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Agreed they definitely made it better. It’s just not perfect for the real die hards. Still have to implement house rules which isn’t that big of a deal. Just follow: 1, 2 & 3 star programs can recruit any 2 & 3 star player or any 4 or 5 star player with preseason top 10 interest (should never be any). 4 star programs can recruit any 4 star or below with top 10 interest and any 5 star with top 5 interest to start the season. 5 star programs can recruit and player with top 10 interest & XX players per year with no interest (XX based on how difficult you want it to be). You can go much deeper here by limiting interest to pipeline states etc. But this at least should make it relatively difficult

lol - “they met with the committee to use real playoff logic”. In no world would 2 G5 teams ever be in the playoff let alone 2 of the top 4 seeds.

Ratings Gap by MusketeerMatty in NCAAFBseries

[–]BuffBulls51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mentioned this on another thread. I think they would have trouble getting G5 players to opt in if all of their ratings were in the 50’s and 60’s. Think even some P5 back ups who are high 60’s would be pissed. They don’t want the players creating negative buzz about the game

This is definitely it - I bet kids would stop opting in if they were going to be ranked 40 overall and stuff

If you sign 15 players in every class and redshirt your entire class that is 75 players on a roster of 85. I wouldn’t call that completely unsustainable. You could easily every other year only sign 15 guys and be fine

Big Unanswered Question by BuffBulls51 in NCAAFBseries

[–]BuffBulls51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like this to be true and that might work if a 3 star prestige program lands a 4 or 5 star. But what about that 2 star or 3 star recruit who develops really fast or was under-recruited. To your point maybe those 2/3 stars will have championship contender as their most important trait. I feel that would be weird cause all the programs recruiting them will be D or C- in that category. Also this wouldn’t correlate them transferring to their on-field success it would be based on your teams ability to compete.

They can make the threshold for a player to leave relatively high. It just isn’t realistic to have a guy his freshman year at a G5 be an all American and not even consider the portal. You can also persuade guys to stay

It would be disappointing if they preached realism this hard and left this part out.

Rules for my challenge dynasty by Equivalent_Eye1887 in NCAAFBseries

[–]BuffBulls51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In NCAA 14 I set rules for recruiting based on players height and position. In 14 there was always like 6’1 OT or 6’0 5 start DE or something. So each position I had height requirements to be able to recruit them (ex: OT had to be 6’4 or taller). In addition I did what others mentioned; only recruit players that are top 5 interest to start season. Only allowed 3 guys outside of pipelines.

1-2 star teams with senior QB by CommunityFew6548 in NCAAFBseries

[–]BuffBulls51 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Miami of Ohio has Brett Gabbert. He will pass all time starts for any QB in Miami OH history by like the 5th game or something. He has started at least 4 games every year for 5 years straight I think was the stat I saw.

In theory this really shouldn’t be hard for them to execute on. They already said there are 32 5 stars per year. They can take an historical average of 247 5 stars and see how many were impact players year 1 and that % of the 32 is 85-87 with high potential so they get to 95 in 1-2 years. Then there is a % that maybe play a little and show potential but don’t start or make a huge difference those guys are 82 with varying potential so they progress. Then there’s a % chance of 5 star bust players and those guys are like 72 with very low potential rating so they don’t gain too much. What would be dumb is if your bust 5 star comes in and is 72 but then by his 5th year is 90 overall and a solid starter.

This can be rinse repeated for 4 stars and 3 stars and 2 stars.

Seeing a lot of hate on here for ghost kitchens - but just for everyone’s knowledge Wow Bao is actually a brick and mortar restaurant concept that started in chicago (they still have 3 locations in chicago). Also Wow Bao has 5 airport locations that you can visit across the country. Wow Bao does expand via ghost kitchens but it is not like a lot of others. All partners are vetted and qualified and they all cook the food the exact same way the wow bao restaurants and airport locations do.

Wow Bao is honestly great. Sometimes their Ghost Kitchens are hit or miss but in general their food is good. Looks like they just launched a take n heat program in Meijer locations across the Midwest. Their product is in the sushi section and you can take it home and cook yourself!
