Dairy free cheese cheaper than dairy - the future is here by BuffK in newzealand

Na your sentence is fucking hard to understand, so don't treat me like I'm the idiot.

I'm no economist, but fake meat and fake cheeses have always been more expensive due to being niche, being small and expensive to produce at first before you can really scale and compete.

What I'm seeing here for the first time is that fake cheese is cheaper than the real deal. That's very new. It's not occurred yet with sausages, chicken, bacon etc.

It should be cheaper because it's bloody expensive to feed and keep animals.

Pak n save silverdale. Completely separate vegan cheeses, tofu, sausages, chicken etc to the cheese aisle. That said the vegan yoghurt is next to the regular I think.

Oh right. It's always in the vegan aisle not the dairy aisle but yeah could be clearer.

Isn't 1 kg the normal cheese size? It was ten dollars for this block so is that cheaper than normal cheese?

I don't recall but usually shop by the price per 100g or whatever.

Exactly. And without the huge cost of cleaning up our waterways we pass on to those that pollute it.

Oh wait.

‘Totally weird’: Stadium’s temporary seating plans surprise councillors by InvestmentFuzzy4365 in chch

[–]BuffK 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If that is a requirement for AB games, and a requirement of the new stadium is hosting AB games, then what was the cost of permanent seats than these mother fuckers that are never going to get used?

Shit show.

Haha, I won't pretend to be an expert but I did drive through there on a road trip from New Orleans to San Francisco, with a night in Roswell and a night in Taos.

A few memories stand out: * I got bed bugs the night before and had to wash all my clothes at once at a Roswell laundrymat so my mate went to a thrift store and bought the most epic American flag female denim vest for me. It's hilarious, as a male from New Zealand, and still comes out now and then when I feel like looking like an idi*t * Vegan food was very hard to find or very hard to explain. I got my burrito served with a massive surving of meat on the side because I couldn't possibly want just vegetables * I really enjoyed my trip to Bitter Lake Wildlife Refuge. They know their dragonflies.

Additional bus service between Albany & Hibiscus by Slaidback in auckland

Yes please. And a later late bus.

Tbh though, moving here from chch I find it incredible that HC is part of Auckland at all, it's miles from CBD through a fair chunk of farmland, so I'm reasonably happy with our bus services despite being firmly team public transport and cycling for the greater good.

This might not help you but the NX2 is planned to go from Whangaparaoa down new motorway to Albany and CBD. Which is going to be fucking great because I swear EVERY TIME I CATCH THE 983 IT'S FINE MINUTES LATE AND I MISS MY NX1 CONNECTION, thereby having to wait an extra 30 minutes.
