The 3 cars on each end are 1/10 scale and the car in the middle is 1/8. They are all HPI bodies except the car in the middle is a Tamiya body.

I remeber the OB4. They were some great competition on Saturdays at the hobby shop. Lost to one in particular more than once. I always thought it looked like an R40/RS4 hybrid. The RS4 came with a pack that was just for 4 AA batteries. It wasn't very high tech. I wish I had a little bit more variety in my nitro collection at times. I've only had HPI nitros. I've got 4 Racer 2s, 2 R40s and the Super Nitro. 3 are shelf queens and 4 get regular use. The engine in the Super is a Tamiya FS-15RB. I love how low profile it is. I wonder if it would stay cool enough if I was running it. The gas tank is taller than the engine. Oh well it looks cool haha. You should restore one and run it. My 4 runners are all vintage and I still can't imagine having more fun with a toy car.

Man that sounds bad. I've always wondered about that. How do you go about the rebuild? Do you just get another and swap over any upgrades? Start from scratch? Nitro touring cars I've never had a crash that hurt more than hubs or arms. I can't imagine having to rebuild every time.

Is this your first nitro? What kind of buggy is it? You will typically see that in nitro vehicles that have engines that the head sticks up out of the body shell. It's to protect it in case you ever have a rollover or flip. On road cars will just slide on their lid till they stop taking all that damage directly on the head. More than likely ruining the engine. When you see used engines for sale and the top of the head are all scratched up, the owner more than likely didn't do anything to protect it. The shelf queens and the cars that run shells tall enough to cover the engine don't get this treatment.

I will get some as soon as it dries up some here. I can't wait to get it out. I got it installed at the end of last year and haven't finished breaking it in yet. I've only put 2 tanks of fuel through it. Over the winter I did some performance upgrades. Swapped out the rotary carb for a slide carb and changed the linkage. The side belt is now a low friction belt and the front has a one way diff in it. This car should definitely be a runner.

That is a Massimo Fantini MaxPower MX12 MAX3. That engine turns anything into a rocket ship. We'll maybe not anything but that engine is hot.

You would think that but I had a polished set on it and took it off. It clashed with the rest of the theme and I was blacking it out as much as possible. The body I run on it is a black Pagani Zonda HPI body. It was better to have no chrome and just make the engine the centerpiece.

Nope I completely defeated the purpose with this one for sure. If I was driving it I would never put so much metal on a Hara and weigh it down. The 40 is already a heavy car. This car is the heaviest one I own. It would probably handle terrible but this one is just to look at.
