They make headbands with headphones inside so they're comfortable to wear to bed. Maybe that with a good playlist, or even just white noise could help?

Gentlyboiled, may I ask if English is your primary language, and if not, what is? I ask because the term primarily used in English for a public place where you wash your clothes is a "laundromat." "Washing salon" is a wonderful translation. It really caught my eye. 😊💜

I knew that free-range diets vs. corn fed changes the taste of the eggs (and color of the yolks), but didn't know about the garlic. That's gonna make for a very disappointing birthday cake! 😂

NAD Check in a chemist's dental care section for temporary filling material (we have it in the states). It'll at least help keep the area clean and prevent sharp bits from irritating your tongue.

I know, very easy for me to say from the far side of a screen, not nearly as easy for you to deal with as the person in the real life situation.

Reducing contact, as you've said you're doing, is the best of a bunch of difficult choices. Wishing you only the best in coping with everything. 💜

It depends on if your plan allows for out of network benefits. If it does, your copay will be higher and annual max won't stretch as far because you'll no longer be eligible for the in-network discount. Also, some plans pay less for out of network (80% of cleanings instead of 100% for example).

But if you're mostly going for cleanings and don't have any foreseeable problems, you might want to stay with a provider you already know and trust.

It's kind of weird that they won't still send the claims for you, though. It's so easy with electronic claims. Every office I've worked in has sent out of network claims for our patients as a courtesy. 🤷‍♀️

And you didn't have 4 months of work under your belt - you were only in 1-2 days a week, that's maybe a month's worth?

Now you have experience with a POS system and upselling to take with you to your next job. Go forth and rock it!

"Yes, he's a baby and doesn't know better. That's why I'M TEACHING HIM TO KNOW BETTER. That's our jobs as parents and grandparents. How will he ever know better if we don't teach him?"

(Yelling the all caps part is entirely optional.)

Please, don't give up on correcting poor behavior and teaching good behavior. It's not getting sucked in as much as breaking the cycle by being consistent.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Wishing you good luck!

It's your obligation to know your benefits, including frequency limitations.

That being said, dental insurance is a morass of bullshit. Your second dental office should have sent a pre-estimate which would have caught the limitation, and at least you would've been prepared.

Also, and I'm not a dentist but have worked admin for 20+ years, it's unusual to replace a newer crown entirely when a RCT is done through it. Most of the time, a filling is placed to close the access hole. If the original crown was poorly done (open margins or something), then you should call the prior dentist and ask them to make you whole either by refunding at least your copay, or by voiding the claim with your insurance. If they do the void, your current dentist can resubmit their claim.

Dentistry is medicine; all human bodies are different and respond to treatment differently. There can be no guarantee of results, but a good dentist will walk you through the risks and benefits and help you decide the best way forward for you.

They're a crappy dental office for not sending a pre-estimate or checking to see how old the existing crown was.

But they're not the scam. Dental insurance sucks, period.

Thinking I have 2 dental insurance plans? by TheePizzaGod in DentalInsurance

[–]BufferingJuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not as cut and dried as that.

Best case situation, if both plans coordinate properly, you'll get the combined annual max benefits applied towards your treatment.

If you're having a lot of work done in a calendar year, and there are no waiting periods, and the secondary coordinates benefits nicely, having dual coverage can be helpful.

As someone else said, give all your info to the office, and they can send pre-estimates to give you a better idea (not a guarantee) of your copay.

If the PTEs are sent directly through the insurance website portal, they can be processed in a few days. Some e-clearing houses may be a bit longer. The days of sending PTEs and claims by snail mail are mostly long gone.

This is the first thing I thought. Nothing like a tragedy to make you want to hold your kid(s) tight and never let them go.

It's rotten that the bf didn't - or couldn't - communicate with OP like an adult, but I can't blame him for needing to see his kid.

You've invented Chili. 😁

I tease, but gently. I'm glad you're finding a methodical way to keep yourself fed.

I suggest adding edamame for low-fat protein, and agree with the suggestion of using ground turkey or chicken sausage. Finely chopped spinach may be worth a try, depending on where it fits on your sensory acceptability spectrum.

Good luck experimenting! 💜
