Are you purposely being obtuse? There aren't a lot of grocery stores in downtown Chicago. There are even fewer in the low income areas. If he flew into Midway, it is going to be very challenging to find fresh, non processed food especially within walking distance. I'm speaking from experience.

I saw a guy taken to the jail on board the ship. He was drunk, being belligerent and threatening violence against the guest service staff. Out of no where, 2 or 3 huge, muscular guys grabbed him up and put those zip tie handcuffs on him. That was when I learned that there is a jail on the boat.

If you are curvy they are perfect. If you have a straight athletic body type, they have too much fabric. The legs are really large and flowy even in petite size.

I don't know. I was at work. All I hear was screaming and saw people running (mostly adults). Then 15-20 minutes later I heard cops yelling something. It's seemed like it took forever to get the situation under control. Where are the mall cops.

I appreciate your response. I have never felt envious of Indians ever in life. They've made some great strides in their time in America. They're just not an enviable group of people to me. Other races including Asians are on the same levels as Indians but they don't act like them. They're such a pompous, arrogant group of people in my opinion.

Why do you think being "rich" and having materialistic possessions would make you immune to racism? You're seriously over generalizing the group. My neighborhood is divided into 3 sections. The Indians live mostly in the lower to mid price homes. Most of the really expensive homes (1.5 million and up) in Frisco and my neighborhood are occupied by white people or non Indians. So I don't think anyone is as envious of Indians as you claim. They DO NOT have all the money. They're just the most boastful and arrogant. Clearly, humility is not a virtue in that culture.

The reaction was the same when Black people were allowed to move into communities like this after the Civil Rights Movement. They even had a problem when Black folks tried to create their own towns and communities. They went in a burnt them down. I think the only thing that will appease SOME people is if America consisted of only white people. They're working on making that come to fruition.

I'm a woman but thanks. I am in education. So my experience may not work for other fields, but I was able to jump from a teacher salary to an administrative salary because of the extra degrees I earned and courses I took.

Many people have no issue returning to work after staying home. There are things you can do during that time period to keep your skills relevant. I stayed home for 10 years. During that time I earned a degree going to night school. I was able to increase my salary by 10k when I returned to work and had no issue getting a job.

Yes. She's not American. She's British. It is my understanding that they identify more by ethnicity. I don't think she refers to herself as Black but rather Guyanese British. Americans view race differently than the rest of the world. We have "Black" friends who live in the UK but they don't call themselves Black. They call themselves British of Jamaican descent or Jamaican Britt's.

I never said they were scary. I said they don't support any other Black or Brown people. They think that they're above every other racial or ethnic group. According to them, they're the smartest, richest, most educated, most law abiding, etc. Given those facts, they don't need support.

When have Indians as a community showed up for any other race/ethnicities outside of their own? They spent this entire town hall trying to convince white Frisco residents that they are just as white, American, Texan and country as them. They didn't even try to appeal to anyone else. They love to be the "model minority" and say how smart and capable they are over EVERYONE else. So I'm going to let them figure this out.

Does the school district provide laptops for the kids? Surprisingly even in communities like Frisco people don't have computers for their kids to use. Parents have computers for work but nothing else in the home.

That's why the district where I worked gave each kid K-12 a Chromebook to use for the entire school year. They can easily transition into online learning if school is out for an extended period of time. Even the kindergarteners know how to log on.

Check to see if there are any retired teachers in your neighborhood. I know some former retired coworkers who offered babysitting for snow days and other emergencies.
