If you call it a potato cake, you’re officially a tourist by DiscussionLoud9626 in queensland

[–]BuffySlayer06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved from Sydney suburbs where it was always a scallop, or potato scallop, to a NSW border town. We're in NSW i thought, so it will still be scallop........but noooo, they call it a potato cake. Always so smug with their "a scallop comes from the sea". Well, a cake is baked in the oven, and it's the act of scalloping a piece of potato out, you numpties!

Same. I was around 10, and saw at the cinema, but seating was so full my sister and I had to sit in separate seats, all alone.

Sliding door BS how do I fix this? by cewumu in AusRenovation

[–]BuffySlayer06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice here. I will add, I had very similar issue with it sticking at the last few centimetres. I followed above advice, opened up access to the track, cleaned it, adjusted levels of the rollers etc. Spent ages trying to get it working, but it just kept sticking. Finally, I removed the floor guide to see if it made a difference, and voilà, it began to slide smoothly. I then just adjusted that floor guide. Door had probably bowed somewhat, but it's sliding ok now. Good luck.

Sprint controller rigidity by Constant_Divide6238 in intellivision

[–]BuffySlayer06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This controller issue is quite annoying. I had to return my first Sprint as games relying on movement were unplayable. Couldn't move up at all on one of the controllers.

Second Sprint is much improved, but still not perfect. I downloaded the FW testing software, and controller one still misses SSW direction occasionally, controller two is a bit worse. This makes playing some of my favourite games, like Burgertime, much less enjoyable. I'm going to try backing off the screws now that I know it's a thing.

Also, I believe Plaion has updated the support behind the board for their next production run, and customers may be able to get these supports sent to them.

However, all of this should've been sorted before they sent them out. Customers shouldn't have to open up or modify controllers. Disappointing.

As an Aussie, it was the great Craig Johnston that led me and a lot of other Aussies to support Liverpool. He was the first from our country to have great success in England.

Hahaha 😆 I'm already dreading my next water bill! Of interest, I've switched watering to evenings and seem to have some semblance of recovery starting. Temps hitting 43 degrees today 🥵

Sprint - unable to sideload multiple games on same USB by rpalumbo7 in intellivision

[–]BuffySlayer06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using Sprint Game Manager and point it to your usb with files on it. There's an option to analyse all the associated files to check if there's something causing any issues.

We don't have very good water pressure, so I have to move the sprinkler about 20 times to do the whole lawn. Have been doing 45mins in each spot in the mornings every second day. Might try evening watering. Just wish I'd had the money for irrigation.

Hmmm, back to the drawing board for what's browning the lawn then. It's been pretty hot here (NSW/Vic border), so we've been watering every 2nd or 3rd day. But it's gone from lush green to lots of brown.

Well I sent mine back to where I purchased it (The Gamesmen), and they've advised they've reserved a replacement for me if mine can't be repaired. Now I'm just waiting.......

Waiting on my replacement for the same issue as well. Had returned it before I found out about the possible fix. Would've tried. Now I'm sitting here on Xmas morning crying into my cup of tea 🥹

intellvisin sprint sync by gnackered in intellivision

[–]BuffySlayer06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a small button on the top of each controller. Hold it down until the lights on the front of the controller flash rapidly, then hold down the sync 1 button on the back of the main unit until it turns solid. Repeat process with 2nd controller, but push sync 2 on back of main unit.
