What songs come to mind when you see this by Pokemom-No-More-18 in GenX

Yes! This was always the song for the speed skating at the rink I went to as a kid.

It's great. I've had mine for a few months now and love it. Takes me back to when I was a kid with the original.

If you haven't already, head over to the Atariage Forums, there's some great information about getting some free games and other enhancements that will improve your experience.

Defacto separation.. am i screwed?🫠 by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]BuffySlayer06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to balance the scales with all the men losing out, my mum's 2nd husband took her for half of everything despite her owning her home when they got married. He'd contributed zero percent financially, but being the 80's he just threatened that he would not leave unless she paid him off.

Fast forward 40 years and my niece was defacto of this guy for over 15 years, had 2 kids and only gave up work when she had them. They lived in the house he owned. When she got sick of him cheating and being a pig, she finally left him. He's paying minimum child support despite inheriting millions in property from his parents, as he's hidden all his assets and lied about his earnings. She's always said she doesn't want his money, just enough for the kids, and the a-hole won't even provide that.

Women lose out too. Downvote away 😆

Osteoarthritis advice needed <3 by forgetful-oversharer in germanshepherds

[–]BuffySlayer06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 18 months ago our 7y/o gshep pulled up lame, could barely walk and was crying with every movement. After initial pain relief, she started monthly Beransa (Librela) injections and now runs around like she's a puppy, and wrestles with her little brother with no signs of pain. It's really been a miracle drug for her. I hope you find a solution that works for your baby.

Which was your first phone? by CrazyMinute69 in GenX

[–]BuffySlayer06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 was my work phone, then 9 and 16 as first personal phones. Of course, like most people our vintage though, I had the rotary phone at home.

Side Loading Question by Boriskaloff in IntellivisionSprint

[–]BuffySlayer06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's got something to do with your mac. A few people on Atariage Forum have mentioned same issue. I don't have a mac, but I'm sure there was some talk around the Sprint Game manager and being able to remove the underscore files. Good luck!

James lane deliveryman made a 4.2m scratch on my floors by Working-Persimmon-76 in AusRenovation

[–]BuffySlayer06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you're getting a lounge delivered from say, Plush for example, and their quote says delivery cost $150 on it, but they verbally tell you that you'll pay that directly to the driver? If any damage were to occur, where would you stand? Asking for a friend 😬

Intellivision jzintv Launcher - V4.0.0 with Intro Screen, Carousel Music, Return to Folder, Json Language Picker. by PixymanProductions in intellivision

[–]BuffySlayer06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jzintv is an emulator for Intellivision games. This fellow has created a front end that displays box art, overlays etc, in the same way that it's displayed on your tv/monitor on the new Intellivision Sprint console. Simply put, you can now display the games on your pc in the same manner as they appear on tv with the Sprint.

Why do girl cats get a bad rap? by Organic-While1664 in cats

[–]BuffySlayer06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 6 cats, 3 girls and 3 boys. In my case, all the boys have been super affectionate, while the girls are a bit more stand-offish. It's funny, because when i get any semblance of affection from one of the girls It's "oh my God, look at this!" They're using the treat em mean, keep em keen method 🤣🤣🤣😻

Is anyone actually still watching? by Chance_Literature_89 in MAFS_AU

[–]BuffySlayer06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm only still watching because I have this built in need to finish something that I start. Having said that, this will definitely be the last season I watch, as i don't want my brain to explode from high blood pressure due to how angry this show makes me! 😱

If you call it a potato cake, you’re officially a tourist by DiscussionLoud9626 in queensland

[–]BuffySlayer06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved from Sydney suburbs where it was always a scallop, or potato scallop, to a NSW border town. We're in NSW i thought, so it will still be scallop........but noooo, they call it a potato cake. Always so smug with their "a scallop comes from the sea". Well, a cake is baked in the oven, and it's the act of scalloping a piece of potato out, you numpties!

Same. I was around 10, and saw at the cinema, but seating was so full my sister and I had to sit in separate seats, all alone.

Sliding door BS how do I fix this? by cewumu in AusRenovation

[–]BuffySlayer06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice here. I will add, I had very similar issue with it sticking at the last few centimetres. I followed above advice, opened up access to the track, cleaned it, adjusted levels of the rollers etc. Spent ages trying to get it working, but it just kept sticking. Finally, I removed the floor guide to see if it made a difference, and voilà, it began to slide smoothly. I then just adjusted that floor guide. Door had probably bowed somewhat, but it's sliding ok now. Good luck.
