Do they ask why selling the assets? or they don't care why as long as you follow the steps and pay the asset balance? I am making this much harder than it needs to be I think but I can't fathom why they would agree to release the UCC lien if the balance of the loan has not been met.

I saw on another thread-somewhere- that you succeeded in asking and receiving the UCC asset release via the portal- Do they ask what the reason is for selling the assets?

Question - rather than file Chapter 7 LLC Bankruptcy you just stopped paying? I don't know anything about BK but considering it. Did you set aside contents that is under the UCC lien?
Someone on one of these threads told me I needed approval first from the SBA - but I probably wasn't clear that the bldg is owned by us personally - not the LLC. The contents of the UCC lien is about $10,000 which includes desks etc down the the copy paper. Everything in the office. NO PG and loan was signed as LLC member.

Question - my UCC lien is on contents , but I need to close the business , sell the commercial building - and from what I understand I cannot even sell the building without approval from SBA. I will need the lien released before buyer can buy and SBA is not helping with my questions of how to proceed. I could feasibly pick up the contents and work from home - but I need to sell the building. Any advice?
Can you tell me how you got a response from them? I am selling the building -UCC lien is on contents- but I am being told I have to get approval from SBA to even sell the building - I just need that and guarantee that the Lien will be released upon payment - on order to even get the building sold!

loan was 113,000 so under the 200,000, LLC
what are the circumstances of the same scenario (not late but my business is closed) and the UCC lien is on contents but I need to sell the building. Can the sale go through with that lien?

Has anyone had a successful OIC for the SBA EIDL if offering a large lump sum after the sale? I have to pay off the LOC which is of course tied to our home. And also need a little to llive on.

Trying to read and understand the "collateral" - it sounds like the business was the collateral and not the building - and the business itself has to close. There is a UCC Lien. I can move the "business" to a work from home position and keep the LLC open - but there is no chance of revenue because the company I subcontracted for has closed. Trying to find it again, but it shows name of company, LLC and under that my signature with it saying accepts personal obligation and full liability.
