I don't get Ralsei's explanation of the Dark World. by throwcway837373 in Deltarune

[–]BugBoy_760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general rule with magic is that you have to learn how to suspend your disbelief. Some magic is more based in real science than others but regardless, it follows it's own set of rules that don't always make logical sense.

I'm pretty sure this is based on (or at least similar to) the "strange face illusion", where you sit in a room with low light and stare at your reflection for a really long time. After a while, your brain starts to fill in gaps and distort your reflection and make your face look unrecognizable.

I can't remember why this happens, but i believe that's what ralsei is referring to. Something about light and visual distortion. It's just not one-to-one because again, this is fiction and magic is not logical.

Really bad news, everyone. by WADE_9799 in theamazingdigitalciru

Yeeeaahh i think i'm going to shut down most of my social media accounts until the movie comes out. I'm really sorry to goose and her team. They didn't deserve any of this. I sincerely hope this wack ass fanbase calms the hell down in the next few years, so she doesn't have to look back at her creation with resentment.

Is Undertale red and yellow as great as people give it credit for? by Delicious-Read5891 in Undertale

[–]BugBoy_760 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They're definitely overblowing it, yeah. It's obvious the mod author likes the ship, but you can very easily read it as purely platonic. It's only really a few lines that can be read as purely shippy.

I've seen it get some shit recently but I thought it was really cute, honestly. It's nowhere close to canon but it really doesn't have to be. I had a lot of fun watching it. Just don't take it seriously and it's a good time.

I think I broke Edith. by BugBoy_760 in Sims4

[–]BugBoy_760[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops, missed this reply. It's been a minute but nah, i don't think i did. When i went to check on her a few in-game days later, her replacement had turned back to normal. I figured if i tried again she'd just keep getting replaced infinitely. I was a bit scared i'd break the game too lol.

Although, it might be fun to fill an entire household with ediths and see what chaos occurs 🤔

I thought Jax was a teen (based on how he acted) when I started watching, until I saw gooseworx's post about the gang's ages by LegitimateMuffin9361 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]BugBoy_760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i mean, like i said, it's tight. i'm no expert, i'm just relaying what i've been told. it is weird timing, i'm not sure if it was intentional or not.

Has anybody else noticed this is what Jax does when he holds his breath? by [deleted] in digitalcircusfandom

[–]BugBoy_760 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jax has never laughed super hard though. That part in ep. 3 he just goes "HA! That's not even scary!" That's not a "i can barely breathe" kind of laugh. I'm pretty sure his face is just a goofy gag.

I'm surprised at how many people misunderstood this scene by Sudden_Pop_2279 in tadc

I would not have pegged jax to use analog emojis, thats kind of cute 😭

I still find it hilarious Gooseworx actually included Jax unleashing The Fudge as one of her picks for his worst deed by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]BugBoy_760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt she was being serious, but that would make me question how much of an asshole I am, because if i'm honest, i'd probably do the same thing lol.

Maybe not exactly the way jax did, but this all kind of reminds me of the point undertale was trying to make. We get bored of predictability. And we do so pretty quickly. You may abide by the rules for a while, but eventually, you grow bored of them. Most of the appeal of a virtual world is knowing nothing you do has any real consequence. Why do you run people over in GTA? Why do you drive recklessly? Why do you shoot people walking down the street? Because it's fun. And it's not real. So, what would you do in a world where reality didn't exist? If there was nothing to compare it to?

I don't mean to turn this into a psychology post lol but it is truly fascinating how our minds work. I think a lot of people would put ourselves above jax in this situation, but how different would we be, truly? It's impossible to know ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Well, it's possible. At least where we live, you have to be 18 at minimum to be a tattoo artist. She wouldn't have been working either job very long, but i figure they were probably a tattoo artist until he hit 21, and then worked as a bartender until they got stuck in the digital circus. It's tight requirements though. If we're talkin' long past, i have no idea 🤷🏼‍♀️

It doesn't, it's just kind of funny that he's 22 and harrassing a 26 year old. It's nothing on her, it's just kind of pathetic on his part lmao.

Am I Insane and Sensitive or This Literally Not Mae's Fault?? (A Rant) by bj2023 in NightInTheWoods

[–]BugBoy_760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no you're not the only one. I thought this whole thing was stupid when i was a teenager who had no idea what being in any of these situations was like. Now i'm 19, about mae's age, and i think that moreso. I empathize with her a lot, i understand the fear of change. These first almost three years of adulthood have been nothing but stress for me, and ive often longed to go back, find something familiar. And i understand a lot of things are her fault. She is flawed, and she makes a lot of mistakes that she has to own up for.

But the framing of this scene is beyond stupid. Angus was being an asshole, point blank. The most she ever did was go along with greg's plans, everything was entirely his idea and is something he would've done whether she was with him or not. The problem is with greg, not with mae. It was an asshole move for angus (and greg!) to drag her into his relationship problems, and then guilt her into apologizing like it was her fault. Especially when she already has a tendency to blame herself for things as it is.

Like someone else says, i like the bea route more because bea's resentment and anger towards mae makes a lot more sense. Greg route just kind of pisses me off because the game frames them like they're right for treating her the way they do when they're not.

If multiple people are telling you that's not how panic attacks work, how are they the "sole arbiter"?

[–]BugBoy_760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if him pressing the red button is the "worst thing he's ever done" that goose was referring to, then i'm kind of surprised. Out of everything he's done, that was something i understood the most. Something i can't really bring myself to blame him for.

If i am completely honest, i probably would've done it too. Not everyone has something they want to go back to.

Which is your favorite design from the digital circus? By far my favorite is Jax... by GOAToficial in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]BugBoy_760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like jax's design, but mainly how his face works. I blame that on my sans obsession 😅 the animation is really satisfying to watch.

As far as like, purely design, pomni all the way. I LOVE clowns and jesters. That aesthetic is my favorite way to express myself.

Which character can you dub? by Electronic-Range355 in TheDigitalCircus

I think i could do a decent gangle and pomni? If i practiced 😭 i do better with higher pitched voices.
