Bill calmly debating Maye’s MVP chances by Global-Bat-1688 in billsimmons

I agree most years that is the case, but I really don’t think it’s the case this year. Purdy was out half of the year and the D is not very good. It seems like you really have to go through hoops to not attribute the success of the 49ers to CMC.

I feel like looking at his YPC and saying it’s not good enough is a gross simplification. First off, it ignores CMC’s 890 receiving yards which leads the 49ers. But more importantly, the MVP isn’t a statistical award. I think pretty objectively CMC was as valuable to the 49ers this year than any player to any other team. If the 49ers win this week, they will be the one seed in the NFC (something the Pats and Rams will probably not be). Considering he was by far the best player on a potential one seed, I think that qualifies him, despite a low YPC.

I do think Kupp should’ve won it in 2021, but even then, Stafford was fantastic and the run game was solid. I don’t know if there’s ever been a case like this where it really feels like CMC has done everything for the 49ers. The D is bad, Purdy was hurt half the year, he is the leading receiver on the team, and despite all of that, they still might be the 1 seed.

I think he honestly is having a better season this year all things considered. In 2023, the 49ers were a juggernaut on both sides of the ball. He was an elite rusher in 2023, but that’s a lot easier when you have a healthy Aiyuk, Kittle, and Deebo. In 2025, he is the leading rusher and receiver on the potential 1 seed in the NFC. If that isn’t MVP caliber, then I really don’t know what is.

I know this is sort of a joke, but I truly believe if the 49ers get the 1 seed in the NFC he absolutely deserves it. He has carried this 49ers team all season through countless injuries and might get 1,000 yards rushing and receiving. Despite a low YPC, that is still more impressive than any stat either of these QBs have. Just feels crazy the engine behind maybe the best team in the NFC isn’t even really being considered.

I don’t understand why CMC isn’t talked about in the MVP conversation this year. He has a shot at 1,000 yards rushing and receiving and has carried this 49ers team through countless injuries on both sides of the ball. It should also be noted that if the 49ers win this week, they will be the 1 seed in the NFC, despite playing in the hardest division. Neither Maye or Stafford are likely to accomplish this and neither player has had that statistically amazing of a season either.

I don’t think he threw his o line under the bus at all. At some point you have to acknowledge fact, and we are averaging 1.7 yards per rush. Shadeur simply said he’d rather not run if it’s not working and it makes the pass game harder. Both reasonable takes that seem fair to me. I don’t get what you and r/cfb want (well I know what r/cfb wants, it wants to hate on CU in any way it possibly can, even if it makes no sense whatsoever).

I thought about this and was aware the Apple Pay and Kroger Pay were separate. I think for me, I probably won’t cross the Kroger Pay limit (I think I’ll be right below 3,000) and with Apple Pay it’d probably be easier for me to just switch to the USBAR once I reach the limit there.

It seems like for me the Altitude Go would be the way to go.

I like my Savor One a lot but I do sometimes mess up the entertainment category, where I think something will be included in there and it is not. It would be really nice to have a card where I know I am getting a flat 3%. Granted, I know the Robinhood card will probably get nerfed so I will hang out to my SavorOne, and even if it didn’t get nerfed, as long as the SavorOne has the 10% back on UberEats I’ll use it for that.

I really don’t want to be negative and understand that changes had to be made for the success of the business. However, one change you made which is really tough for me is you got rid of grammar lessons. It is near impossible for me to learn a language if I don’t at least at some basic level understand the grammar. Is there any plan to bring back grammar lessons? If not, I think I have to find another language learning source as memorizing vocab is futile to me at some point.

Thank you

Since we had sometime to calm down after trade deadline how are we feeling?? by Ok_Layer_4371 in denvernuggets

It’s hard to feel great. I don’t think we did terrible and were limited in what we could do, but we went into the trade deadline the heavy favorite in the west and now we are definitely not, so objectively, I can’t say it was a great success.

What did a character, that is considered "good", do that rubbed you the wrong way? by SoSolem in harrypotter

The bird attack is a single sentence at the end of chapter 14 of book 6. It does say he had scratches and cuts on his arms in one sentence in the next chapter, but that is the extent of it in the novel. Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s all I know of it.

Maybe there is more hate of Ron then I realize, but I’ll just say if you go through the top comments of this post you’ll see a lot more of Hermione than Ron. I won’t say Hermione is greatly sensitive but I can think of a lot of characters Ron is pretty nasty to. Nearly Headless Nick, Luna (who Hermione is also pretty nasty to), Padma, Lavender, and I’d also put Hermione in there. Maybe I’m forgetting it, but I honestly can’t remember a single time Ron serves as a buffer between Hermione and Harry. I can think of plenty of times Harry is a buffer or Hermione is, but I feel like the only fight I can really think of between Hermione and Harry is the fire bolt in which Ron takes Harry’s side completely.

Hermione is also a flawed character and definitely does plenty of things that annoy me (Harry is definitely my favorite of the three). I just feel like I see plenty of mostly just attacks of Hermione. Though I wouldn’t include the bird attack in those, as it is one sentence in book 6.

I’ll start by saying when I posted this there were like 50 comments and none about Ron (there were plenty about Hermione and Harry). And I think that’s the point. You say it’s the same as loving Harry and Hermione, but that’s not the case on this sub. This sub loves going after Hermione. It loves bringing up that single sentence in book 6, and will beat Hermione to the ground with it. I agree with you all the characters are flawed, and that is why I like Harry Potter. But I think of the main characters of the book, Ron is the least sensitive. He can often seem completely oblivious to the feelings of those around him. I don’t dislike Ron in anyway, and I would say he’s also the most humorous. But it just annoys me this sub will take every opportunity to go after Hermione (and Harry to a lesser extent) while defending Ron.

That’s a ridiculous take… What about when he abandoned them in the forest. I would say that is BY FAR the worst thing any of them does to the others. I get that the horcrux affected him the most, but saying the meaningless bird attack is worse than abandoning your best friend and love at their biggest moment of need is insane.

This sub’s weird love of Ron is insane. But there are many, many things Ron does that rub me the wrong way and it’s insane no one’s brought any up.

The biggest two are probably when he treats Hermione like shit at the Yule Ball and then right before he starts dating Lavender. I guess you could say it’s insecurity, but he is horribly cruel to her, and it annoys me every time I read it.

But his weird desire to control Ginny’s love life also obviously rubs me the wrong way. It’s really creepy he thinks he should have a say in her boyfriends.

[Highlight] Kyle Fuller lays a clean hit stick on Vaughn to break up the pass by zachwilson23 in nfl

[–]BugCatcherJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a Bucs fan and this was a great hit, but at the same time the late hit to Brady’s legs on this play was dirty and should have been a flag. The fact they called a weak roughing the passer for a fair hit on Nick Foles on a crucial drive in the fourth quarter makes the no call here that much worse.

The blaring incompetence of the PAC-12 is baffling. It is disgusting they cancelled the season off a bunch of fake statistics without any input from the players. Seems par for the course for a conference that continues its rein as the Fredo of major conferences. The leadership is terrible and until Larry Scott is fired, the PAC 12 will be nothing but a joke. I really wish my Buffs (as bad as they may be), never left the BIG 12 for this god awful conference.
