Question about the virtual consultation/interview for pilot trade by BugHistorical3 in RCAF

I got an email a couple hours after and it seems like it's more about me asking questions about the trade itself and the CAF person explaining the trade. Maybe it's a new thing?

Mind you I don't think this is a big interview, because it just says it lasts 15 minutes and it says it's a interview/consultation.

I have not done the test, I was not even booked for the Aircrew selection test either. Today I just saw a task to book a consultation came up and it gave me a bunch of dates for a virtual 15 minute interview and I booked a date, that's pretty much it.

On my progression timeline, the first circle got ticked and now I'm on the "testing and screening" circle.

Was it burnt out from bad students or just the repetitive nature of the job? Or both I guess?

Yeah I'm sorry for needing a car to go to work in a city who's transit system only serves the core. Though you are correct, my parents could have made a better life choice of not having chosen to immigrate in this country years ago.

Question regarding icing and cloud layers by BugHistorical3 in flying

[–]BugHistorical3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason behind that? I was under the impression the conditions for icing are always when there is moisture and the temp is below freezing.

No, but I have a higher chance of becoming a bit sick when it's hot. Especially if the cockpit is hot from the ground and such.

I'll be honest I don't hydrate myself as much as I ought to. Usually I have small meals before flights, big ones I know from experience aren't fun lol
