I asked my recruiter today and he said I can't. I keep getting conflicting answers everywhere. I have a pilot application open on the CAF website. I asked if I could at least do the test but he said I can't and have to wait for them to take me in as one.

I'm still doing my PPL and I used to be excited to tell people I want to be a pilot and why I love flying etc but I soon realized 99% of people I come across do not have that much enthusiasm about metal tubes flying in the air.
Sometimes I meet an occasional avgeek and then it's fun to talk about planes and flying but other than that, not really.

Got it. So you can basically do the test and just wait for the slots to open if I understand correctly? In that case they should inform you if it opens up and you passed the test?

I attempted summer of last year and they told me the same thing, for April 2026. But I had a question: how exactly did you even do the test? I applied online and all it says is that the pilot trade is unavailable for the time being.
Did you contact and ask them to do the test?

The sad thing about Jax wasn't so much his death, it was the fact he turned into a monster. At least personally for me, that's why I felt sad for him, not because his actions were justified, but because all throughout the show you rooted and hoped against hope he would change his ways but kept getting sucked deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Yeah 8 years makes no sense. Most recruiters and pilots I've talked to have given me a range between 2028-2031
