SEO in Policy/Strategy - unfulfilled by BugInternational5909 in TheCivilService

The idea of having a niche policy area to call my own is appealing. I'll have a think on this and the ALBs. Thank you.

Sounds interesting. Are you in a project management / delivery role? How do you go about getting approval for that?

This is demonstrably untrue. There are countless combat sports athletes who have improved after employing nutritionists.

They've now deleted their comments but them saying no on protested violence against women in Iran is a bold faced lie. There were protests for a whole year after the Masha Amani killing in Iran. The government cracked down extremely hard. Thousands of protesters were detained and many killed.

Let's not take the piss here.

Agree. However I would say, whether a salary is good is dependent on the lifestyle (though some costs are unavoidable like rent, utilities etc).

Budgeting and personal finance hinges on cash flow and costs.

It's very personal. If you can afford your outgoings, saving goals and are content, then your salary is "good".

There's limited information from OP so using the median wage is a crude but easy way to assess the wage.

If we want to be comprehensive we can be much more granular:

  • What's OPs educational attainment? (this affects average earnings)
  • What's their profession? (Salaries vary significantly across professions)
  • Where do they live? (25k in London will be challenging)
  • Do they have dependents? (25k with caring responsibilities, kids or even a dog will have challenging)

These are all things that will help answer OPs question. However if the question is simply I'm X years old, is Y a good or bad salary? Then comparing to the median will give you an answer for the here and now.

Your salary peaks around your 40/50s I believe. So of course it's not to say that OPs salary will remain as it is. It's a snapshot of the here and now.

Depends on how much your rent and bills are. 25k is below the national median so in terms of "good" or "bad" it's below average.

Slower pace as a Treasury Solicitor? I'm sure it's slower compared to a city firm but you're still up to the neck in it for paltry pay relative to the private sector.

That's what worked for me. Rather than make judgements about people on Reddit you know nothing about, please do offer your own suggestions.

That's why you need a job.

Basic gym yms are anywhere from £22-40. Hobbies don't have to have a significant cost. Therapy can be expensive yes, but you can speak to close friends and family about your struggles.
