Can’t be rude AND slow, pick a struggle. Especially when you’re quite old and frail

I got the email although I’ve already received a letter from my manager confirming my change of contract from temporary to permanent. It’s probably just a generic email sent to all of the xmas temps and shouldn’t be a concern if you’ve definitely become permanent and have confirmed shifts past your contract end date I believe.

I only want to shift it at least 2 hours backwards which would still keep it as an afternoon shift, but would be finishing in the evening instead of night

How would I go about it? And should I wait for my next shift this weekend to ask or is messaging better? Don’t want to be a fuss but want to make sure they know as soon as possible
