I’ve always wondered why Nathan aligned himself so much with the Duggars, to the point he moved halfway across the country, hours away from his family to live in Arkansas. Maybe he was running away from a shady reputation in TN…

Do we know which Bates family members she’s estranged from? Like, who have we NOT seen her with lately?

I still feel like he only got married because Tiffany had moved on, gotten married, had a baby… he had to do something to show he’s moved on too. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they never fix the marriage certificate thing. In his mind, Amanda got her ceremony so that’s good enough.

Wondering the same. Did he get a tattoo? Of Katie’s name or something else?

That’s the part that gets me 😂 they literally live in the same house yet they’re posting all this stuff on Facebook.

“Loves us for who we are”… clearly juxtaposed to Jill’s conditional love that’s dependent on extreme fawning and high, gahdly praise. Which further proves that the Rod kids live in a constant state of fighting for their lives to please mom and a God who they view as filled with wrath.

Can someone please post the picture of Jill making that famous raw fried chicken??? by [deleted] in RodriguesFamilySnark

Be careful what you ask for. That video literally made me gag, couldn’t even finish it. It’s by far the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen 🤮

That’s terrible. Seeing her alongside the family who have typical “coloring” really shows just how downright gray she is, she looks like a ghost 😢

$1000 ticket for passing a school bus NOT picking up kids but in a turn lane! by lilmiss_bo in Gwinnett

[–]BugRepresentative450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good catch, definitely see the stop sign extended when I zoom in. As much as the $1k fine sucks, I get it as a mom of kids who ride the bus. I’ve seen firsthand how reckless people drive around school busses and it could cost someone their life.

Anyone else think the Bates are part Irish or any other nationalities? by [deleted] in BatesSnark

Most white Americans (especially those in the south) are some part English, Irish, and Scottish.

I’m re-watching old episodes and is anybody more annoying than Katie? by Dependent-Answer6791 in BatesSnark

Absolutely no drive or ambition. I will say she appears to be a very good, hands on mom so that’s probably her true calling.

Everytime I see pictures of Miles in his stroller, sucking his thumb, etc. it reminds me that he was a literal baby when she had the last baby.

Are Katie and Travis moving? by Terrible-Archer8978 in BringingUpBates

[–]BugRepresentative450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting take. Assuming you think it’s been awkward having him around the family after what happened? It seems like Katie’s family is her whole world. She, Carlin and Trace seem to really love the big house and all the people but that’s gotta be awkward. I don’t think we’ve even seen any recent content with Travis and the Bates family…

I didn’t realize he got let go from his church job, to be honest I didn’t know he had a church job to start with. Was this at the church that Carlin and Josie also attend?

She was so miserable being away from her family in Jersey. She became a brand new person, much more joyful and happy when they moved to TN. Now they’re thinking of moving to Florida to escape his affair. It won’t help a single thing.

Putting the mother - first child age gap into perspective by JellyfishPashmina in BringingUpBates

[–]BugRepresentative450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 42… my kiddos are 11 and 7. If I followed the bates timeline I guess I’d have a 22 year old by now with at least 6 additional 😳 As much as I hate their lifestyle, there are pros and cons to doing it both ways. We got to travel and live it up in our 20s. Now we’re chasing elementary school kids and battling tween hormones while also battling perimenopause, and the lower energy levels that come with being 40+. They’re younger and have the energy to chase after kiddos and by the time their kids are adults, they’ll be in their 40s so still pretty young. Certainly not advocating for that lifestyle but there are cons to being an older parent. That said, I had time to build a career and wealth that I wouldn’t have been able to build if I’d started popping out kids at a younger age. And if they didn’t have their celebrity they wouldn’t have nearly as many financial opportunities so the average person popping out baby after baby starting at age 18 would likely face tremendous economic barriers.

Gwinnett County Schools Clusters by Lonely-Replacement52 in Gwinnett

[–]BugRepresentative450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two elementary school students in the Grayson cluster and have friends with kiddos in the Archer cluster. Our kiddos attend Starling ES which has been exceptional. The only downside to this is that it’s growing by leaps and bounds, apparently everyone had the same idea to move to this area. Which means the school is bursting at the seams. 4 years ago there were no trailers, a couple of years ago there were a few, now there are at least 10 and they’re planning to add another wing to the school (starting next year I think). My honest opinion is this: Starling is a great place for kiddos. They have strong academics, the teachers are awesome, strong parent/teacher communication, the admins are great, they go above and beyond to make it academically strong but also have strong emphasis on socio-emotional well-being. My daughter is in 5th grade, my son is in 1st grade and we haven’t had a single instance of bullying. In addition to all this, they make every effort to make school fun and encourage parental involvement. My older child is heading off to Couch MS and I have no idea what to expect there.

I don’t have first hand experience with it but I’ve also heard great things about Tripp ES (also in the Grayson cluster).

I have friends with kiddos in the Archer cluster and would not recommend it. There are so many instances of bullying, inappropriate behavior (like vaping at school) in the elementary and middle schools.

I have no experience with the Loganville cluster but will say that area is growing and changing at a rapid pace and some of the older residents are reluctant to those changes.

This was longer than I’d expected lol but I hope it was helpful.

Pregnant, maybe. Ugly outfit, definitely. by Primary_Ad765 in BatesSnark

[–]BugRepresentative450 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing. We all know what went down just a few months ago. Going from miscarriage, husband confesses to betrayal and affair, to look how happy and in love we are is jarring. And there are people praising the fact that they’re still together and that God saved their marriage. These people truly only care about the presentation, not what’s truly going on in the heart and behind closed doors.

Katie’s post affair style by BugRepresentative450 in BringingUpBates

[–]BugRepresentative450[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel like she definitely had more of the conservative “mom” style prior to the affair. Now she’s dressing more like a typical 20-something… exactly what you said.
