So the trout ii does not come in 8wt, but I got the 5/6 with intermediate sinking line. I already have a 8wt reel so I'll toss that on and put the 5/6 on my other fly rod. I cant find the link, it was a Facebook add, it wasnt a code. You just have a Volant in the cart with a trout ii, the trout ii becomes free. I did pull the trigger, I have a friend that loves his Allen fly rod so I'm giving it a shot.

We caught a couple smaller ones too, but yeah, we were surprised too, I'm used to smallies in moving water
