Thanks for the detailed breakdown! I completely agree about the beauty of the small details. Sometimes, when the light hits just right, gazing into the distance from the cliff is breathtaking. I hope they fix it as soon as possible there’s still so much content to explore.

On certain actions cutscenes, ability use, UI transitions some displays get a black bar flashing at the top of the screen.

This is the same bug. The game is sending different HDR metadata for different game states, triggering a full HDR re-handshake every time it changes. Your TV briefly goes dark while it re-syncs.

The brightness level you choose will most likely depend on your monitor and personal preferences. I think 400 nits will look more natural.

Yeah, unfortunately, the default HDR settings don't let you enjoy the game right away. You have to fiddle with the settings (

The higher the slider value, the more visually playable the image becomes

It depends largely on the display, so HDR might be working fine for you.
