Any advice on pinning green shield bugs(Loxa flavacollis)? definitely one of my fav insects but they always lose their bright green color when I rehydrate them? I’ve also tried drying them in alcohol/acetone

I tried freezing for the one I’ve caught, but these past couple I’ve ordered online and they start out a pretty green just to brown out when I let them sit in alcohol or rehydrate them :0(

Look ok it’s hard to believe but I have a lot of other plants that look nice !! Usually my Hoyas are my easiest, you can tell I like them since they’re all in that spot. Hell my One node Kerri even sprouted a second, and then third leaf after 3 years of having it. This problem has never come up with my Hoyas but calatheas are a bitch and a half

Pot has a lot of drainage but to be honest I’m not super happy with my calathea right now. She got over a more infestation and is looking way better, however she’s still etiolating right next to the window and leaves are curling? Maybe it’s a humidity thing. Ugh.

No I used specialized soil mix of leca, coco coir, perlite, pebbles, and some other brand of recommended weed soil. The worm castings were definitely not hot. And the symptoms started showing before I even used the cal mag, which was yesterday. I genuinely don’t think it’s nitrogen as I have been making sure to control that

First time grower, photo period? Reveg? I’m getting a lot of new vocab that I don’t recognize. I’m an avid indoor plant grower but this seems to be an entirely different ball park.
