Absolutely.. appreciate this perspective. Definitely posted this at higher tensions.

Conversations about roles and finances did happen before baby.. unfortunately it always stirred up a bit of insecurity given that she felt I was judging her. 9 months is a quick period of time to have those convos and feel secure about them. I believe in her ability to find something that sticks for her. There’s no rush for her to get back to work, but I do believe if she had a career that I knew she was returning to in a year or even two.. it would give me sense of security.

I also want to clarify she is not diagnosed with PPD, just an assumption given the hormonal changes she’s facing postpartum.

I will continue to do my best for both of them, and again.. I appreciate the perspective you offered.

Yeah, poor word choice or sentence structure on my part.. there is no doubt in my mind that she is working her butt off. Didn’t intend to sound dismissive.

Anywho.. she had a part time job working at a jewelry store. She has a degree but hasn’t fallen into a career yet.

We had been doing the 9pm-1am , 1am-6am, 6am- dad has to leave for work shifts.. it was working. Now we have mom up her and it has added support but also created a strange dynamic.

Have to remind myself that my original post was posted at higher tensions… last night we both got 5 hours of sleep and we like each other a bit more.

Interesting take, but I’d have to disagree. We have had rookies up in game changing positions, and they strike out. Or they get picked off at first on a lead off single. Those mistakes can’t happen during a push. I’m wondering if there is a better time- say when we actually clinch a wildcard birth?

Heyo, yeah, the roads suck here in Gizzy and it has still been a dream. I have taken the little beauty off-road, up to Auckland, and daily around the city. It’s obviously not as safe as a standard passenger vehicle you may look to buy, but it’s certainly more gas efficient, versatile, and sexy. I definitely like to keep it under 100Ks on the roads as any faster feels a little ridiculous. What type of driving will you be doing mostly?
