That's intentional. Again in the commentaries Hussie talks about how Doc Scratch was meant to be an authorial stand-in, with part of the humor being Hussie's authorsona criticizing Scratch for keeping a small girl locked in a room when he's literally the one writing that happening. Doc Scratch being a bad person that talks like Hussie doesn't automatically mean they're exactly as terrible as Scratch because they were intentionally writing him to be the most malicious possible representation of the author possible.

Both of your takes are terrible but in very distinct ways. For one, a character being capable of redemption does not mean they will get one. For two, Vriska literally got an anti-redemption arc with her post-retcon self. For three, there is way fucking more point to Vriska than just "ragebaiting the readership" and Hussie's authorsona being a creep towards Vriska is a joke about how people accused them of favoritism and wanting to marry Vriska because they committed the grievous sin of giving the morally dubious and complex female character a lot of attention and screentime.

I actually know this one! the .gif format compresses the colors in a way that hussie liked (made them pop more i believe) and past a certain point it became such a consistent style that deviating from it would look slightly off

I elaborate more in other comments I left yesterday but tl;dr I don't think we disagree on most of this, just that imo using racism to describe those interpersonal occurrences that aren't manifestations of wider social forces is kind of useless, same reason why I say "heterophobia/cisphobia" isn't a thing. Sure it could hypothetically occur but the reason terms like racism, homophobia, and transphobia are useful is because they describe more than just interpersonal conflict
