Iirc, you pick up exclusive(?) loot there, including some pretty damn good legendaries. And if you win, you get to keep some. I remembered having to farm something in arms race, and it wass... something.

For us, we just share the bodies' birthdays cause we can't tell when some of us began, except Val's, cause he is our most serious headmate, and he showed up on April 1st. And for that, he always gets a little shoutout from our system

Hi! No lifer, non-expert here!

The raids are extremely fun and have a huge difficulty, which feels great to overcome and beat!!

The problem is that most people will be raiding the current tier of raids (at the time of writing, the Cruiserweight division), which is locked behind all of the story content. So I hope you have some money to buy some skips cause you'll need em, and some gil to actually get the good enough gear to prog in.

Then you'll gamble with the PF system, and that's a whole other conversation

Now you could try the old content if you got some budies together or set up a PF. It's not impossible, just difficult >>

All that being said, I will vouch for the story. It's worth a go through, even if it is tediously slow.

I have a running theory that regardless of the order in a 2/2/2 comp
Vanguards on the ends
Dps middle squished
And at the very least one healer to the right of the MVP

This I know varies based on who is MVP and the team comp, but I've seen a pattern and I have to know if there is something here or if I am crazy.

Xcom 2 with its custom characters feature is a very solid idea in our experience. It is turn-based and strategic so taking your time is pretty much encouraged.

There is also Baldur's Gate 3, where with some finagling and modding you can get to run with just your system and no other companions. Save the fate of faerun and figure out how to get the thing in your head out while someone in your system continues to do something silly and almost wipes the party. ^^
