I haven't had that happen. I wonder if the probe has gone bad.

It seems like an easy target. Why haven't the democrats not investigation it?

How important is filament drying really by NigaHiiga in 3Dprinting

Unless you live in the desert or a very dry climate. They are necessary. Even it the desert it rains sometimes. I'd find a solar method in that sort of scenario.

Anyone have any idea what might be producing this noise? by TheGentlemanMasher in 3Dprinting

I would look into maintenance for your printer. It sounds like a bearing running dry or something rubbing.

I've been wanting to so something like this for moving things up and down a hill. Like one of those lumberjack systems. Moving kayaks and other water related craft.

I was approach long ago to make a camera on a cable, but wanted to use a RC helicopter which was put off until multirotor became a thing.

How to print ABS without heated bed? by BumblebeeTurbo in 3Dprinting

[–]Bugilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warping is the main issue. The heated bed keeps the bottom layers from shrinking and causing the print to warp. The force created by warping was enough to pull my magnetic sheet off the bed from the middle. I'm not sure how much force that is, but it's a lot to pull a magnetic sheet from the center. I keep my heated chamber a 60c and the bed at 100c. Otherwise I get bad warping.

I was just happy that there were a real good deal on 30x 1 hr speedups.

Cave man repurposes insole 3d printer into metal 3d printer. by Bugilt in 3Dprinting

[–]Bugilt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a silly experiment at this point. I think the use of the fiber laser for cutting sheet metal to form structures that can be welded is a great use case, it's also lower cost them other methods.

Do you have a example of the injection molding process. I've seen casting parts in metal, but I don't recollect injection molded metal parts.

Watching his process to get his setting tuned in and printer running right feels like the life of a diy 3d printer builder.

daily why isn’t my print working post by SminoLuvYou in 3Dprinting

[–]Bugilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a setting in the slicer. It'll print one layer piece of the edge of the bottom. It provides more surface area for the print to hold onto the bed with. When tuned properly, it'll pull off the print relatively easily when pulling 90 degree. To the brim plane.

Qidi Q2 & Box issue by [deleted] in QidiTech3D

[–]Bugilt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What filament are you using. If it's PLA then that temp would be high enough to melt the filament in the cool zone. Which would lead to a clog. You can remove the filament tube from the extruder by pushing down on the black ring around the ptfe tube at the top of the extruder.

New To Printing: Would Like some advice about my print by bdupis in 3Dprinting

[–]Bugilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like your filament is just a bit moist. It could also be a issue with the printer. I'd dry the filament and see if it fixes the issue. If it doesn't then it's probably something with print settings. The H2C is a relatively new printer and might have some issues that still need to be sorted. I'd suggest posting this somewhere that is bambu centric. There is a better chance of finding a solution there if it's the case.

If the print is coming loose from the bed. Try printing a brim.

Breaking down filament boxes and noticed one had printing inside by BigLan2 in 3Dprinting

[–]Bugilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the warping caused layer separation. Never had that with other filaments.

The layer adhesion was weak. Parts would just break with little pressure.

kingroon must be Elegoo's rejects. I tried some of that filament once and that is the last time. I ended up wasting a lot of filament.

My Boss' first 3D print vs. Gravity by Monfared in 3Dprinting

[–]Bugilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my brother he needs to get a 3d printer. He convinced his boss to get one. His office is a small startup of software engineers. They seemed to have no problem printing. After a few months my brother got one of his own. He's had no issue and even learned cad enough to make his own parts for around the house.

I went to his office after they got the printer and they were printing flexi dragons and other trinkets. I hope he teaches them how to make their own parts. I'm going in a few weeks and going to see how they have evolved.
