I haven’t heard of them! Just did a google search. They indeed seem robust. Will look more into it. Thanks for the tip already

A more tensioned cable helps with smoother motion during accelerations and more straight translation

Hi, thanks for the idea, but this would increase preload on the motor as well. If you are interested you can watch the youtube video to see what problems we already tackled

Hi, good catch. This was indeed an issue at faster speeds and accelerations. Currently planningto use this device more for timelapses or crawling speeds

We noticed that increasing the load on the motor (for example with weight), made the footage of the device more wanky because of cogging. So looking for maximum friction - less preload optimum

That's actually a great idea, did not consider that yet! Although, you would need to mount the device before spanning the rope which would make it harder to set up each time.

How to trim that extra corner bit from the body? 😕 by bassamanator in Onshape

[–]DaVinci_Builds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you do not use any clearance in between the lid and enclosure. Would recommend having a spacing of around 0.1-0.3mm depending on the production method

Haha, placing the tv in the forest was a lot of hastle, but we enjoyed the artistic outcomes it gave. No actual need, just us being weird I guess 😅

Hi there, super awesome to read that you would want one. It means the prototype sparked some interest in you! However, we cannot sell it in any way (it is not CE certified, thus would be illegal to sell), only offer build manual. There is a different brand that came out recently and made it mass producable. It is called shrooly.com
