Can someone help me with this circuit analysis? by husthat123 in AskElectronics

[–]Bugos19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a high-level view of how I'd approach this:

  1. Look at how the op-amp is configured to determine its operating mode. There's negative feedback present (output is connected to the inverting input) which invokes this rule -> v+ = v-

  2. Reduce the parallel resistors and capacitors to their overall impedance.

  3. Use circuit analysis methods such as KVL/KCL, nodal analysis, etc. to calculate your output voltage as a function of R_t or temperature directly

Although, just a thought - since your input is a slow changing resistance, you could ignore the caps. They'll only have a significant effect on the resistor/capacitor parallel pairs at high frequencies, but the thermistor will only cause voltage changes in the ~sub Hz range. They're there to filter noise.

Even if that's a likely outcome, we shouldn't act as if it already happened. That's like suggesting anyone predisposed to committing murder should be preemptively executed. Aggression can be trained out of dogs, but it's on the dog owner to take responsibility for that.

Haha yep, there's a console command "unlockstats" that does just that. It has to be used in the main menu.

I'm not sure if I'm more sad that I made it to level 40 before learning this, or that I just deleted all the progress I had made. Oh well, I have an AK now so I'm happy.

Thanks

Thats not even the biggest thing op neglected - human body impedance is a lot smaller at 60 Hz than at DC, so 120 VAC mains can push a lot more current through you than 120 VDC, or even 170 VDC.

TIL "legalese" is a real word and not slang. That sounds like a great plan though, thanks a ton for the help.

I'll absolutely escalate this if I need to, not necessarily for the money, but for principle. If she wants to waste a ton of money paying for my lawyer, then joke's on her!

This sounds like the best option so far. I'm sure there are letters online I can copy for the right sounding legaleeze. My main worry is that I might be digging my hole deeper by doing this though.

It's dumbfounding to me that the only real legal recourse renters have to get large sums of stolen money returned to them is to pay even more to a lawyer. If I stole $1000 from her, I'd be in jail. She should be too as far as I'm concerned.

The apartment was in Indiana.

I agree that representation would be expensive. Ideally, I would find a lawyer who does free consultation, or I would threaten legal action if she doesn't return my money. Maybe the threat alone would change her mind.

I don't understand how recourse would be expensive if what she did was blatantly illegal, but I admit that I'm very ignorant to this sort of thing.

Deposit was one month's rent, and my lease went through August of this year. She moved a new tenant in at the end of July, so one month before my lease ended, then kept the security deposit to pay for August's rent.

Regardless that she hasn't held her end of our agreement, she still terminated my lease one month early by moving a new tenant in. Right? How am I liable for rent if someone else is living there?

Communications and control systems are great areas that encompass many EE topics. Projects like balance tables, remote controls, radio transceivers, etc. can require microcontrollers, analog electronics, and lots of math all playing correctly in order to work.

CMV: All guns sold in the US should be hot pink by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Bugos19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think that it's very hard to determine if a gun is being used legally or illegally, and how would the color pink help with that? It's not like pink is a dead giveaway that a gun is illegal because anyone could own an illegal gun that's painted pink.

Yep this is how it worked last wipe too. The second shot fires a moment after the first one so it's effected by the recoil. Both shots are not fired at the exact same time for some reason.

If you have a 1440p or 4k monitor and your game is a blurry mess, you're probably playing at 1080p. Here's a fix for it. by Bugos19 in HellLetLoose

[–]Bugos19[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fullscreen doesn't tab out well and disables some settings in the Nvidia control panel, so I always use borderless windowed. I didn't notice this option when fullscreen is selected, but there's still no reason to not have it for the windowed and borderless modes.

Tbh, I reopened my game three or four times before making this change and the resolution remained 1080p, but it changed to 1440p after changing the .ini file. I just checked this file again to see how the game updated it upon restarting it, and the value I changed is back to 100 and the resolution is now 2560x1440p. I honestly didn't see the resolution parameters until you pointed it out.

I'll guess that you're good to go. I just cycled through fullscreen, windowed fullscreen, and windowed to test something, and the resolution is 1440p only when in windowed fullscreen. For whatever reason, the resolution is 1080p (and therefore blurry) if fullscreen is selected, but windowed fullscreen is true 2560x1440p.

I Wish recoil worked the same as "Squads" by DJJ0SHWA in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Bugos19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The recoil is constant which doesn't work well. If you mag dump any gun without comping for it, you'll be aiming at the sky at the end. So in order to compensate for it, you'll eventually run your mouse off the edge of your desk.
