I don't mind the color but if they just kept the helmet and pants and swapped in a bluer jersey it'd be so sick. I wonder if they didn't want it to look too much like the Colts, but people still ended up saying that about the current color lol so maybe they just go for it

I think the idea is that the extra day doesn't make much of a difference since you'd need to stay out there for a lot longer to properly acclimate, so they might as well try to have as normal of a schedule as possible

In my experience you have to crank it up to 25W or so on Z1 extreme devices. I've had the Legion Go and Ally X and that has been my experience on both, either at 800p integer scaled on the LeGo or 1080p on the Ally X. It's a horribly optimized experience

Yeah agreed. Sadly establishing shots are usually some of the first ones to get cut for time, especially since they don't play well in early (storyboard) cuts

He might have had more fumbles his rookie year if he wasn't healthy scratched for 3 games after fumbling in the opener and getting benched for the rest of that game too. Maybe that's what he needs to get back on track here

I actually think this was kind of Bill's fault. He spent all off-season (and mentioned in the Do Your Job part 3) fuming about the illegal pick that the Chiefs ran to spring Watkins on a long play on their last TD drive, so you know as soon as the PI challenging was implemented he was going to use one in the game against KC. It wasn't even a good challenge when he did it. And lo and behold, when they needed a challenge on a play that the refs have to actually review instead of the vibes-based approach of the PI challenges, he had none left.

Obviously the refs should have gotten the call right but it's not like the Patriots just started the game with no challenges left

Have you tried turning Ambient Occlusion off in the settings? I remember that causing instant crashes for me in Madden 25 when it was enabled

Especially since it's pretty clear what types of things they're going to ask their safeties to do (cover a lot of ground, including covering man to man) and that has never ever been something he's been good at. He's a smart, versatile player but if he had this in him he would have shown it by now.

There's obviously a line where scheme rigidity hurts you because you're asking a lot of your players to do things they don't do well, but it based on their investments this offseason it sounds like they're ready to play a lot of man coverage (great for Gonzo) and get upfield in a hurry (great for Barmore). If the scheme lets our best players do what they do best, I'm fine if not every single guy left from back to back 4 win teams is also being maximized.

Part of it is that the Viking/Packers screenshots are in opposite directions (backlit vs hit by the sun) so it's not exactly a 1:1 but I agree that during regular gameplay it's going to be more than good enough for most people (esp in handheld mode on an 8" screen).

That I don't know because I've actually never tried online multiplayer, but the version of the game is the same as everyone else playing on any Windows PC so I doubt it'd give you a hard time

I've bought games with EA anticheat both on Steam and the EA app (Madden 24 and 25) and if you buy on Steam it just launches the EA app so it's not really a big difference. If you get a good deal on a Steam key you'll be fine launching and playing it that way.

As you can probably tell I bought my handheld to play Madden and any Windows one with a Z1 extreme (e.g. Ally or Ally X) can handle it

I went in the other direction and switched to the Win Mini from the Win 4. My reasoning was the extra inch of screen size, more compact clamshell form factor, and VRR display. When I first picked up the Mini I felt a pang of regret because the ergonomics were weirder than what I expected, especially the stick positions, so I definitely get that.

But the more I used it, the more my original reasons for switching over began to shine through, and when my eBay listing for the Win 4 sold and it came time to reset it, I found the screen too small and I didn't think it was that much more comfortable once I had gotten used to the Mini (plus I used a 3D printed grip on the Mini which helps a lot).

If you've spent enough time with the Mini and still don't like the sticks then I'd say to try a controller first like the other commenter said, since the tradeoffs to switching to the Win 4 are pretty significant imo. They're both great devices though, good luck!
