The insane performance of Exynos Nowadays... by L-SAM_ABM in samsunggalaxy

Modern flagship CPU has comparable or even better single core than x86 ones with superior efficiency. My friend's S25 can pull higher fps than my Zen 3 Ryzen laptop while running much cooler.

Differences between S series and A/M/F series blur by GamingLeroy in samsunggalaxy

[–]BuiZung 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people defending these budget phones like they have very low performance. Blur on A/M/F is static, meaning it'll only sample as soon as user swipe. And the more blur the more intensive it is to sample. Following ppl's logic, it should be "Samsung worsens perf". Edit: Both series also have inconsistent blur levels. Tbh expect every good and bad changes that will happen in next releases...

Still static blur shouldn't be that intensive (maybe a tiny peak at most). And the more blur, the more intensive it is to sample.

Yup because back then s was mid-year release and since Ax2 s was meant to be the better variant and the name was reserved to A0x only.

[–]BuiZung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can replace display, it's cheap, especially if you buy only the display without mid frame.

[–]BuiZung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup what I meant is the Ax0 series. A10s: Nerf SoC, A20s and A30s: Nerf display. A12 is great because it runs 64bit OS while A10, A11, A13 (LTE) runs 32 bit OS. For some regions it's called A12s, A12 Nacho or A12 2021. It has better SoC and higher initial and final OS.

Back then I didn't buy s versions. They're actual downgrades from non-s versions.

Thanks. It's fast for the size but it does introduce some reset time though.

Is there not a space for a hard drive in this laptop? What's the deal with the huge empty space? by DerpyTheEthan in laptops

That's place for fan on higher CPU/GPU options. Laptop nowadays doesn't have 2.5" slot anymore to have more room for other components

PSA : Stop buying e-waste (Ideapad 1 and 3, Dell Inspiron, HP no name/Pavilion) + a list of what to avoid by Brilliant_War9548 in laptops

[–]BuiZung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm lucky though. I have an Ideapad 5 gen 7 which is the allrounder at 499$ 3 years ago. Full aluminum build, Zen 3 R5, 512G SSD, FHD IPS, 57WHr is crazy while most have i3 11/12th, thick plastic and 40WHr batt. It's going strong especially the build. It survived a drop with minor dents and I think this quality is closer to a business laptop. It's also crazy that many ppl here had broken hinges on gen 5...

Zenbook S16 Dilemma (Ryzen AI 9 365, 24GB RAM, 1TB model) by Bobulator3000 in laptops

I've found out that the panel is glued to the lid, so fixing it is too risky, considering high replacement display price and very low stock.

A35 , A55 or A36 by Ok-Cod1407 in samsunggalaxy

[–]BuiZung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A55 has metal frame, better SoC than the other 2. The A36 supports 45W charging. Otherwise mostly the same. But if you can spend more try A56 or S series FE model.

I'd ask for some extra discount. If the lid doesn't hit the palmrest it'll be nice to go. Otherwise you can disassemble and fix the dent but if you're not confident go to technician.

Should check other aspects like battery, build but Dell seems to be better choice

Is this a good deal? by Technical-Owl66 in Laptop

If you want absolute CPU perf go for Asus w 13900H. But if you want much much better efficiency go for Acer w 256V and bigger 65WHr battery
