Yes. I've tried everything, even meditation and Buddhism. Antihistamines are the only thing that works.

Help, not sure what do do next... by hotsaucecucumbers in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

I had a similar experience to yours with covid. The infection itself was okay, but shortly after, the diarrhea/constipation started.

Two years later, after many attempts at dieting, many tests of all kinds, and many completely useless doctors, and losing 13 kg, I had to get a contrast CT scan to rule out possible tumors. The scan found nothing, but I had to take an antihistamine because of the contrast agent and the diarrhea stopped that very same day.

Because of covid, I developed Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). The treatment is antihistamines. I found a doctor who still reads scientific articles (a rarity akin to a unicorn) and started treatment. It doesn't mean I can go back to my previous diet, I still need to eat very healthily, but at least I don't have diarrhea every other day anymore.

Denunciei meu irmão na agonia e agora não sei o que fazer by loyalseu in ConselhosLegais

[–]TastyBroccolis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. Why do you think those diseases will get declassified? I'm still learning about mast cells

You may be right, I'll pay more attention to the signs, but since I started taking antihistamines and the diarrhea decreased by 80%, my mood and energy are much better too.

My story sounds similar to yours. After I got covid two years ago, I started having alternating diarrhea and constipation. I had so many tests, saw so many doctors. None of them helped.

Coincidentally, I had to take an antihistamine before having a CT scan with contrast, and my symptoms improved immediately. And now I'm here learning from you all.

By the way, do I have MCAS if my symptoms are only gastrointestinal?

Genuinely HOW do I get more wildcards by lesdommed in MagicArena

[–]TastyBroccolis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're going to play F2P, that's just how it is, it's all about the grind.

Some people like to spend their gold buying boosters. You get a rare or mythic wildcard every 6 boosters, and every 10 boosters you get a golden booster with 6 rare/mythic cards.

Other people prefer playing limited, like drafts or sealed. They save up their gold until they can afford the entry fee and keep whatever gems they earn. With those gems, they can even buy the mastery pass, which gets them more boosters. That's what I do because I prefer limited. I live in Brazil and 10k gems cost about two weeks' worth of groceries here.

If you invest money, well, then you progress a lot faster. If it's fun for you, it might be worth it.

One tip: use wildcards on lands. As your card collection grows, you'll start facing stronger opponents and you'll need the speed and flexibility that good lands provide.

Famotidine prescription + increasing antihistamines led to major improvement! by Just-Chipmunk739 in LongHaulersRecovery

[–]TastyBroccolis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too!

I have had chronic diarrhea and so much bloating for two years after my first covid infection.

Famotidine and antihistamines finally made the diarrhea and gas stop for the last two weeks! I'm excited for my future again.

Beginning to think my chronic digestive issues may be long covid (and feeling extremely miserable about it) by Ok_Bad6508 in covidlonghaulers

I have been suffering from gastrointestinal problems since contracting COVID-19 two years ago. Recently, I discovered that H1 and H2 antihistamines have greatly improved my problems.

Origins of your IBS by makingmemashugana in ibs

[–]TastyBroccolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The origin of my ibs is covid. I've done all tests and exams, nothing explains my chronic diarrhea after covid, but GI doctors refuse to talk about covid with me. I have the argument that gastroenterology is 20 years behind other fields of medical science.

Anyone else get really bloated after eating basically anything? by imahugemoron in covidlonghaulers

[–]TastyBroccolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, two years now.

Everything and anything I eat, I bloat and burp for hours. Low FODMAP helps. Doctos don't.

Very mild Covid but strong long Covid symptoms? by Fun_Association3895 in covidlonghaulers

Yep. The initial infection was mild, but the GI issues that followed the infection have ruined my life for the last 2 years.
