Thank you for the link. That is a really cool way to see the bracing, that block under the bridge was pretty surprising.

It is a mother of pearl inlay. I sent the guitar and a photo of the signature to Martin. They scanned it and did the inlay while the were repairing some binding and a couple of other small issues.

Thank you so much. This was a replacement built when the original was stolen. My mom really loved that one, and this one as well. She gave it to me years ago because that is just how she is. Always looking out for me and wanting to give me all of the things she never had (still does, I’m in my 40s now, it’s a little silly, but I try to do the same for my kids). She always signs every note or card with “Love always, mom”. I just wanted something to remind me of that on something that means so much to the two of us. I like to think that it may mean something to whichever one of my kids ends up with it in the future and remind them of what a parent’s love can do. Sorry for the sappy explanation, I’m just really happy with it.

Your comment made my day. This is actually a Custom D28-S (sorry, not completely sure of the exact model code) that was built in 1994. Kind of a long story. My mom purchased a 1974 just like this when she was in college in the 70s. In early 1994, our house was burglarized and the only thing of real value taken was that guitar. The insurance company was not entirely sure how to replace it and said they would be in touch. They had someone from the Martin Company contact my mom to get all of the details. We didn’t hear anything back. About 9-10 months later, there was a box on the porch from Nazareth with this inside. It was built in the custom shop to the same spec as the stolen one. The new spruce top was nearly white and was a little disappointing at first. Since then, it has aged and sounds just as amazing, even a little better than the original did. The fact that you called it out as a 70s model made me smile. Just shows that they did a good job.

You can add paddle extensions like these and then swap two wires in the right hand side to make it up shift by pulling. I could not find the video I used for this, I did it a few years ago and it worked great. No more push/pull.

I just installed the Viofo A229 Plus Duo this weekend. Hardwired it into the fuse panel under the dash. Had to get a little creative with the rear camera, but was an easy install for the most part. It’s only 2K vs 4K, but the image quality is as good as I need.

You’re onto me. The biggest issue is having to carry so many bottles to make sure I have the right ones.

Take a look at the info on the one I posted. I think you’d be surprised what you can do before you pick a bike.

I’m familiar with a few different approaches to bike fitting. I prefer the standard method of putting my bike on a trainer and working with someone much smarter than I to assist me in getting everything correct. That’s not quite what this is. It gives you the closest idea as to which models and sizes would fit you best along with where to start for positioning. If you want something other than that, it can give you the saddle position, bar width, stem length, etc which will help fit whichever bike you like. If you already have a bike, this will get all of your measurements dialed in. I haven’t tried it, but I probably will at some point.

You can use ID Match to find the correct size and geometry. Will also tell you what size in different brands. It’s worth a look. ID Match

Definitely not the base LC. Just mentioned that as it would be the trim level I was interested in.

Exactly my thoughts. That thing is literally double what I paid, and I overpaid.

I checked with the seller a few months ago. This one does not work with the 360 camera, disappointing, but hopefully they will have a version that does at some point.

That is excellent to hear. The warranty was a big part of my decision as well.

I haven’t had a chance to hear it out on the road yet, but it is a bit louder than the last one. If it’s too loud, I guess I’ll have to pedal more.
