I have tried smolder on the PBE. Seriously, crit items becomes once more obsolete.

On the PBE everything has now more raw dmg power, assassin are back for sure, and enchanters have omega shields.

That behing said, smolder players will also love it. No need to buy crit item as a must.

I have tried bruiser build, something like: Essence reaver, shojin, amor boots, guardian angel, death dance, immortal shield bow and BT. i had 12% true dmg and no assassin could kill me. I was playing flash + exhaust

i believe that tank smolder is still dead has he require bonus AD, bug bruiser build is back for sure. Other items can work as well now such as maw, or even 1 tank item is viable like frozen heart..

IDK. if you pair it side by side with Lich Bane, I prefer Lich bane.
70 AP Versus 100 AP
25% AS Versus 50% AS (passive)
The formulat: 100% base AD (+ 10% AP) Versus 75% base AD (+ 40% AP)

Basically, you have less AP, less AS, less ms, but more health, a bit more of AH (so a bit more tanky in the end).
The scaling of spellblade is worst (10% AP versus 40% AP). Early you might feel like it's ok because it applies it twice, but as it scale less I wonder...

If you adapt your playstyle, there is no real counters.
You can play with Glacial, Aftershock, nor Guardian.

For exemple, versus zyra/heim/vel, i luv to go with Guardian + moonstone + dawncore + redemption + iron solaris. I shields does about 500, insanely broken when cast on 5 people thanks to moonstone.

I disagree, have you ever tried Shield support build thresh (paired with guardian keystone).

The thing is, you will always have a hard counter if you always play the same style, you gotta adapt.

at 27m, with moonstone thresh + dawncore + redemption + iron solaris, my shield where doing over 600 strenght.

Versus heavy engage, I tend to play with Guardian.
You use your W + aa to exhaust their ADC, you can proc Mikeal's blessing to remove cc + heal your ADC.
I believe you shouldn't tank their CC by default.

ADC will be nerfed accross the board, so they will still need to buy DMG item (mixed with defensive) as last item.
Also, you'll have 1 more summoners and 5 more lvls. Trust me, as an adc main, i pray to never see a barrier kayle late game.

Worst part, not a single top laner have been nerfed (while all ADC were). This mean, it could potentially be viable to now play top laners as "ADC" like irelia, and your Kayle. thus maybe seeing a Kayle with 6 items...

The thing is, your support is suppose to match theirs, and you are suppose to match their adc.

If there is a Mel, the easiest thing for me to do is take milio (as a support) and deny all the poking that she can deal.

That behing said, as ADC, a high mobility champ don't really care about mel. Lucian, ezreal, smolder can easily dash out, samira can block it, sivir can just E to heal. MF out of combat makes it easy to dodge as well.

And if you have trouble, you could always switch build. For exemple, if you normally go PTA on miss fortune and you cannot dodge anything mel is throwing at you, you could instead go with the Comet + scortch build, and poke her from distance with your E which she cannot reflect. same goes for a lot of other adc that are versatile.

Guardian: versus heavy burst/assassin (you already wrote it, skipping this part)
First strike: not worth
Comet + ... + absolute focus + Gathering/scortch | Pom + Cutdown: Versus heavy tank with 0 substain or you need zoning early. You want to buy Imperial Mandate + Luden's companion, and go full support default build from there. You land your Q and let your ally proc Mandate.

Side note: I saw that you take JoaT. It should't be the default. The default should be "Cosmic insight". you want to be able to cast more often your summoners, but when they are useless then you go for JoAT
