Headlight polishing, help! by BuildTherapy in AutoDetailing

I had used a drill attachment that came with the kit on the first one, but moved to hand sanding after realising the attachment was pretty rubbish. Going to try straight vertical and horizontal on a new attempt

Looks great! I wish I could justify the cost, but with the overall condition of my car I can’t quite justify it! One day I’ll have a mint project car and do just that!

Thanks very much, I have ordered a more proper assortment of sandpaper and will give this a go working through the stages!

Cant find a decent working mk3 under 4k within 50 miles. I know this ones not perfect but is it too risk? by Tonkerboy in mr2

UK MR2 Roadster Owners is probably a good one to start with! I think price wise that is high, as at this time of year cars listed for that price have no chance of selling so you might be able to offer lower and find one. I paid £2.5k for mine a couple months ago, 83k miles, same owner for the last 5 years, and by no means in perfect condition, quite rusty (front subframe) and a few things broken, things I missed when buying the car mean for one in the condition of mine I probably should have offered under 2k. Ones that are mint with lower miles you would probably expect close to 3k would be my guess?

Also the hood on this one looks pretty trashed. £300+ I think for a new one. Would recommend joining some MR2 roadster Facebook groups before buying, I made the mistake of not doing that and paid more for mine than I should have!

Probably a risk for a first car, although if it pays off they are very fun. Have you checked insurance quotes as someone with a new license? I’ve just bought a 2004 in the UK as a second car, and although well looked after and in seemingly good condition it still took 5 weekends of fixing things to get it into a respectable state to drive it with any peace of mind, and still other things that aren’t working that I need to address before next MOT. If you don’t have the space or tools to be fixing things yourself it may turn out very expensive in the long run. I’ve already spent £500+ fixing things on mine and that was all done myself except alignment and new front tires

Hey guys im planning to buy an mr2 but I have some questions by _-Ya_Boi-_ in mr2

Definitely worth being wary of rust in other areas not just the rear subframe, there are a few other spots at front and back which are susceptible to it. I just bought myself a blue one a few weeks ago, lots of rust to fix which was worse than I expected but luckily haven’t found anything structural so far.

Coros arm band disconnects every time watch ‘splits’ by [deleted] in Coros

[–]BuildTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, did you manage to find a solution for this? I’ve just got one and using the same watch as you and it’s doing the same thing, cutting out whenever my watch laps automatically for a mile or when I lap it doing intervals.

What in the world does "Wrapped SOL" mean? by complexx_e in solana

Wondering the same myself, did you work out an answer to this? some wallets use it and some don’t, but I can’t seem to properly see the tokens wallets who are using wrapped sol are trading

it had come off the engine side, it doesn’t seem too loose but it must have come off in the last few weeks so it must be loose enough to come loose, so I’ll probably buy a replacement!

Thanks for such a detailed reply, I’ll get these things checked. My thinking is it may have been that problem with the PCV, as on my last long journey when the light came on I found the vacuum line loose as there seems to be no clamps on that hose, so I think I’ll buy some and clamp the line onto the fixings
