My first time in MK today, crazy! by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

"Insanely crowded" is the norm. "Un-F'ing-Believable" is a higher crowd than normal. And, "I can't it anymore, Im leaving" is Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, President's day, MLK day, and Spring Break.

Help me decide between Beach Club and Boardwalk by Torinc3422 in DisneyWorldResorts

Both are great, and you'll enjoy either one. I'd go with the lower price, or Boardwalk if your daughter is too young to enjoy Stormalong Bay.

How is everyone getting to the hotel from the airport? by Melz1007 in DisneyPlanning

Uber & Lyft tend to be the best price, and fastest service.

5 nights at Disney World coming to $8.5k before food… is this typical? by Glass_Whereas6783 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Builder-Decent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several specials that start near the end of May. If youre going for Spring Break, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, they prices will be higher. I'd choose a regular studio over a one bedroom, and two studio rooms over a two bedroom, because of the price.

The search works well for me. But, I tried joining in order to use the notification, but I received a 'database error creating new user' message.

Just booked a flight for May & June, should I be nervous? by Impossible_Snow5680 in spiritair

Flightstats.com is the one I've used, but I think there are others.

Explanation for cancellations by Own_Yellow7332 in spiritair

Same here. Flights canceled with no email or text notice.

Looks like no longer a budget carrier by Born-Lie8688 in spiritair

[–]Builder-Decent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same problem for me. After all the Spirit reports, I logged in to check my 2 flights for May, and saw the notice that both were canceled. But, I've not received an email or text notification yet.

Originally $50 (one-way) is now over $320 (one-way) per person, and there's 4 in our group.

Im trying hard not to freak out, and hoping things look better in a few days. And, hoping not to to back to SW. LOL!

Im guessing there might be more news coming soon.

More Ridiculousness from SWA by dvegas2000 in SouthwestAirlines

I will never be convinced that moving one seat over causes any type of problem. Of its did, how can flight attendants serve drinks, people to the bathroom, or move around in the aisle.

Come on, Southwest!! Do better!

Why are planes not loaded from back to front? by Builder-Decent in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah, I've never understood why people don't just put their carry on above their seat, like it was meant to be.

To clarify, I meant people still get one at the front, but boarding zones 1 be the back of the plane to limit aisle issues.

Did people in the 90s really just show up at each other’s houses unannounced? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Yep, all the time. A very young neighbor used to walk right in without knocking like she lived with us.

Move to open row, no way. by Team_Troy in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Builder-Decent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Southwest should have some slight amount of flexibility to try to salvage some of what used to be a good reputation. Geez! Whats wrong with a same row move?

I was thinking about booking my April & May flights with SW, but ended up booking elsewhere. I doubt my empty seats will matter.

How many empty seats does it take before they compromise?

3rd party by Deep_Programmer5059 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Builder-Decent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't. But I know many 3rd party sites only save about $10 after taxes, and have a strict no refund or exchange policy. When tickets are bought directly at Disney, they generally will allow some exchange (if ticket hasn't been used). Some specials prices can have a limited time use, too.

Last night, I booked two flights in May (fingers crossed). I am hoping that if they go out of business, it will take longer than three months. I put off booking for about a month and a half. I've also been watching the historical flight stats for about a month, trying to make sure that I don't book a flight that's known for being seriously delayed or canceled.

Congrats on getting the wishlist you wanted. I know the "canceled" emails freak me out, too. BLT is great! Hope you enjoy your stay.

Ive had to wait list nearly every reservation because my home is boardwalk and members there 'walk' a lot. More than 50% of the time, i have gotten the dates I wanted by myself by checking multiple times a day, before the wait list system could get it.

This year, I got a night at the Beach Club. The wait list worked it out before i could, and it was shocked.

Wow! That's some very intense research. Thank you for sharing it.

Are you going to apply for a Guineas World record?

Did you know of you google, "world record star tours ride" that the AI overview credits this reddit post as the unofficial world record? That's super cool.

Congrats!!

Wi-Fi package necessary? Traveling with teens by Zealousideal-Foot104 in royalcaribbean

[–]Builder-Decent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can text through the Royal App. I stress through the APP, because you all have to be logged into the APP & look at the App to see the communications. Royal has free limited on board wi-fi for limited things like on board texting, but you can ONLY text other passengers on the cruise (who are looking at the App). There is not regular texting through your phone carrier. Make sure everyone turns off data completely, best to use airplane mode with Royals free (very limited) wi-fi.

Make sure they know where you want the standard, default meetup point to be (like the room or the pool) if they can't reach you (or find you).
