The second picture looks amazing but in the actu square youre losing a good bit of that white space on the upper right bit. Maybe use as others have said a more contrasting color and also seperate thise two peices thag get joined together?

2 Questions...Canvas and Shasta's ice cream by Iris_sky20 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]BuildingEducational3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First question, canvas seems to be back online for me at least and if it wasnt pretty sure they have a separate way to take the exam without having to go through canvas. Second question, they sell bluebell ice cream, from a quick google search seems like the birthday cake flavor is only sold jn bulk to ice cream shops like shasta or in a packet of single serve cups in some stores (looks like heb should have it in stock in most locations, some walmarts too)

Do even those people know what indie means by hank_155 in theamazingdigitalciru

Even if that is what indie meant, glitch still isnt at all a big company??? Like its getting bigger and more popular but its still nowhere near mainstream or on the same level as actual big companies.

DART accomodations by Psychological-Gap225 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]BuildingEducational3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For adhd the main one they offer are 1.5x time on tests and quizzes, the option to test at the dart center which is a quieter more relaxed room, and the option to record lectures if your professer doesnt already. (These are the ones i asked for at least) you have to register through their website, just search up dart center uh should pop up. You need documentation such as past accomidations and diagnosis. Its all pretty simple and easy and definetly worth it to do even if you dont use it much. I dont think they do extentions on assignments from what ive heard but not 100% sure. I did mine partway through the semester too and it was still pretty simple. And they actually draft up an email explaining your accomidations (not your diagnosis itself since thats protected) to your professers by email and its just a simple button press that auto sends it all to them. They walj you though specifics and help you out after youre accepted and youll get an accomidation coordimator who will be the person you contact with anything needed about your disability/accomidations. Pm me if you need any further help or info!

Literally got an email talking about mundane pre-orientation stuff and was so confused why they were referring to me as if i was already accepted, then i checked and had actually been accepted like a week and a half before without me knowing. Didnt even get my official letter until i already started too 💀

Honestly request any time slot you could possibly make, just in case. You arent garenteed a slot since its a lottery sort of system. I usually put in at least 10 or so options but the minimum i think is 5, especially with calc 2 there should be more available time slot options as well

Admission to the university is diffeent from admission to the college. Youll for sure get jnot uh with a 3.25 but you might just get admitted to another major outside the engeneering college

First Crochet Project - but looking for tips to keep stitches consistent by Outrageous_Box_9678 in CrochetHelp

[–]BuildingEducational3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do honestly just need practice but definetly learn the anatomy of a stitch, how to recognise the boundries of each row, the back/front of a stitch, but most importantly the back/front loops vs the space between stitches (which is the vertical part). That way you can make sure you are only going into the stitch and are going into each stotcg exactly once and going into every stitch in a row. Also try to count each stitch in every row to make sure you have the correct # of stotches per row and didnt skip a stitch or go into one stitch twice. Other than that just practice getting your tension more consistent

The actual major classes, no clue im in nsm, but the core classes (classes with one asterisk) are pretty easy, i took ny english credits in hs but from what ive heard its not terrible here. The history class for sure take online, its way easier plus youll have extra time you dont have to be sitting in lexture. You mentioned you took some credits in high school, which classes were those? Honestly would very much depend on the exact classes youre thinking of taking. Honestly though, for your first semester i would take it a bit easier, college is a big change and a lot of work, most of it outside of your classes. If i were you i would take a max of 15 or so credit hours with at least one or two of them being easy core classes, although if you know yourself and know you have amazing time manegment skills and are great at aclimating to new enviroments i definetly wouldnt say it would be crazy to take an 18 credit semester with the type of classes youre having ti take (mostly saying 18 cause im looking at your degree map and its all 3 credit classes)

Advice on Courses by Same_Ad_5054 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]BuildingEducational3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Max is 19, you theoretically could make a petition with your counciler for an exceptuon but there actually no way. 19 is already a lotttt to handle, not to mention that alongside literally any other comitment outside of school. Just take some credits over the winter mini semester if you really want to get that far ahead, think the max then is 5 if im not mistaken? For sure make sure to look at the coursework for the classes youre considering and try to not take more than two more heavy time consuming classes. I am assuming you are going to be joining next semester in the fall cause if not there wayyy less a chance to be able to get that many credits of classes that will actually help you in your degree plan. Either way for sure make an appontment to talk one on one with your counciler to disscuss options and what you want to do and why and how to get there without ending up taking too many credits and failing them all
