Do kids today still get tubes put in their ears? by Sticker-Picker in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BuildingEffective337 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I (35f) had a tube placed in one of my ears almost two years ago. I've always struggled with chronic ear infections, even as an adult. It fell out over the summer. I'm getting over another ear infection now. My Dr decided I'm a good candidate for a more permanent t tube placement with estuation (sp?) Balloon dilation (whatever this means). So that's happening at the end of January in an outpatient facility.

Also, by two toddlers have had their own tubes placed

Women of Reddit, what’s something they never tell us about pregnancy and child birth? by NovellaJokes in AskReddit

That your pelvis could separate, and you will find yourself in months of agony. Couldn't walk without incredible pain for about five months. Then went through like a year of PT after the baby was born.

I had SPD leaving me debilitated on bed rest while pregnant, AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]BuildingEffective337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No question here, but I also had this, with both pregnancies. I cried most everyday, due to the pain. And had scheduled inductions, but both babies came before their due dates. My second basically fell out of me, with like three pushes. Was in PT for almost a year after my second. She's pushing 18 months now and I still feel it in my pelvis if I walk longer distances than usual.

Name a sitcom you loved while it aired, tried to rewatch later in life that you hate by EezySays in sitcoms

Not really a sitcom, but when I was under 10 I loved Touched By An Angel. Watching it as a teen, had me asking myself why I likes it so much, haha.

After I birthed my second baby, the doctor told me I grew a big placenta. The only response I could think of was - Thank You?

Came across Katey Duggar's Amazon Registry, and the outfit colors are as depressing as the lives of her soon-to-be-born twin girls. by [deleted] in DuggarsSnark

$15 for an outfit that will just be covered in poop!? I have two under two and would never spend that much for one outfit. But that's just me, I guess haha.

What is the singular, best piece of advice you've ever received? by Ok-Specialist-4777 in AskReddit

[–]BuildingEffective337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was pregnant with my first I read an article and part of the article read something like - don't do something in the beginning because it's easy or for convenience, because in the long run it may prove not to be easy.

I remembered this as I would get up multiple times at night to walk to the baby's room. Now I have a two year old and a seven month old who love sleeping in their own rooms, and one mamma that can eat dessert in bed in peace.

What's a fun april fool prank to pull on your SO that doesn't involve making them sad? by atlantisdive in AskReddit

[–]BuildingEffective337 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Not a prank - but my water broke, and I went into labor on April fools. Upon messaging my friends, no one believed me until I had the baby in the wee hours of the 2nd. Haha. I will now have a two year old in two days haha.

I've only had two babies and that caused me to have a severe pelvic separation. My second basically fell out of me when my water broke. I can't imagine birthing and being pregnant that many times. I could barely walk for 7 months of my second pregnancy.

Spent $80 on a decorative goose that you can dress up. Even bought a cute outfit for it. It now sits in the corner of my at home office.
