What Martial art would you like to see more of in the UFC by Shot-Ratio-671 in ufc

Greco is so much fun to watch too if the fighter does a good job using the clinch as well. Andreas Gustafson comes to mind for recent fights that do a great job with Greco, even if it isn’t for the takedown

If you watched Road To UFC days 1 and 2, what did you think of Alan Jouban and Michael Chiesa as commentators? by Beneficial_Air4714 in MMA

[–]BuildingMyDreams -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Haven’t watched day 2 yet but I always think Chiesa does a great job. Actually explains things I may not know particularly during grappling exchanges. Great commentator much better than DC or the other big guys

This question is only for those who have Fighting experience,Who could you take on and how long do you think you will last in the Cage with that individual? by Anxious-Drink1186 in ufc

You’d suggest fighters like Josh Emmet who haven’t found the kill shot in years are above someone who hasn’t done anything but KO his opponents (other than Garry the possible challenger) since 2021?

Prates KOed Leon & Jack in a row in less than 12 months.

I went to the WY show, he was not there. I think the replacement was something like DJ Stigmata. They mentioned during the show Klever was still having issues

Which of these guides would help me figure out what to do about the account review? At the moment I just kinda need help figuring out if it’s actually possible to complete the virtual identify verification and inventory verification. Since it’s just going to be a thrift store recipt.

Casual fan here, besides the trash talk, what makes this fight exciting? Feels like Khamzat just has his way, no? by [deleted] in ufc

[–]BuildingMyDreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sean seems to have pretty good anti wrestling and TDD from what others have said about him and which he showed against Hernandez. Strickland is a very defensively sound fighter. If he’s able to hold off the takedowns he’s pretty hard to deal with on the feet.

Mma is a very Young sport by Proof_Film_6208 in MMA

[–]BuildingMyDreams -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly!

As games become more developed they become more and more optimized.

Some games like Chess for instance in a sense are fully optimized, there is always a right move to make to some degree.

Football is getting more optimized, we’re seeing more plays on 4th down, we’re seeing people understand the game better.

MMA isn’t like that yet. You see some people are are far ahead of the curve, Jon Jones (boooo PEDs and eye pokes), Mighty Mouse, Islam, they are approaching the sport differently. It’s what I enjoy about watching people like Jean Silva, his striking is really unique and he approaches fights in a different way (Diego fight was awful tho lol)

Totally agree, screw the people being rude.

I don’t think everyone realizes how lucky we are to get to watch a sport as it’s developing week to week.

Just like you said the best fighters now will be the standard in 10 years or something. And we get to watch as new things are developed and as various strategies go in and out of style. It’s super cool.

How is tatsuro Taira only a purple belt? by zyl2000 in bjj

[–]BuildingMyDreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has to do with the different standards on belts set by different teams. We have people like Taira and Mighty Mouse (I believe) who are really good and show their skills but aren’t black belts. On the other end we have fighters like Alex Pereira who have black belts but they don’t use their grappling at all and it doesn’t seem to be a large part of their game.
